  1. Ok I have had 2 cases in the last little bit where when I was done washing, the vinyl siding seemed to be chaulky. It was not this way when I started.

I have done hundreds of houses and have never had this problem before. What am I doing wrong??

First thing that comes to my mind is it not being rinsed enough, but I'm pretty sure that is not the case as I did it myself and I am sure that it was rinsed good.

On the one house that I did it was just in the one area.

What wrong, and whats the fix?

    Thanks.

  2. Man I must say you made yourself a nice system there.

Yes I do beleive that the pump will pump it like it is but I don't think I would do it that way. Once you get it primed it will go, but lets say you happen to run out of water when you are 5 minutes from being done with the job, I think you will have a lil time of it getting it primed back up untill the water level gets back up there a lil more, and who wants to wait around that long when you are ready to pack it up??

Why is dropping it down out of reason?? It looks like you have a fuel tank down there, but that can be moved to a different place and can use a different tank if you want.

Just a thught!! Looks good tho.

P.S. I would cycle the water back to the tank as was mentioned, I learned the hard way...

  3. I use a 1540 (or 2540) and a 0040 to apply soap. If you create back pressure by closing the ball valve a little bit you will shut off the downstreamer.

Vi-ola! You're shooting just water with a nice fat low pressure stream.

Ok I get what your saying now!!

Yea beleive I could make that work, never thought of that!! Thanks!!

I may give this a try in the next few weeks!!

  4. Turn the soap off at the gun with your ball valve. Just tighten it up a little and rinse with your low pressure soap tip.

    I don't understand this.

How do you turn off the soap at the gun and still rinse with low pressure??

Doesn't low pressure make the soap start??

Would like some more on this, looking for a easier way!!

    Hey Tim how are you??

Your way seems logical to my understanding of how it works, but you limited to how much rinsing you can do till the soap starts coming. Maybe I over rinse but rinse my shrubs very good and I also rinse the windows with no pressure, so sometimes I will be rinsing for a few minutes at a time.

  5. Ok got a question for you downstreamers.

I have been thinking of trying to DS but one problem that I think of right off is how do you rinse your flowers and shrubs off?

I have a quick connect right on my gun and I just pop my wand off and hold my thumb partially over the end and rinse everything off, if I do that when downstreaming soap would start coming.
