how much bleach is the starting point?
Doug Rucker replied to COACHS's question in Residential Pressure Washing
It all depends on your method of application, downstreaming, x jetting, and electric pumps will all require different dilutions. Feel free to call me as it's just to much for me to type. -

What Is Your Definition Of Success?
Doug Rucker replied to Cullen Adams's topic in Business Topics & Tips
I use to play golf with Bobby. Bobby's Son, Phil Espisito, Norm Beaudin, and some others in Florida back when they were helping to start and promote the Tampa Bay Lightening. We had lot of fun on the golf course, but after the Golf, WOW that's when the party really started. Fun times indeed. -

Garapa Deck Work - Austin Texas
Doug Rucker replied to bigchaz's topic in Contractor Help Wanted - Job Leads
Yes they did, Adrian. Good Guys down there. A little pricey, but hey when I pull up they drop everything and get me back on the road. Hope you got your's done too. Sorry I wasn't available. Would have been fun. -
For residential, you will want the higher GPM, ALWAYS. Get something in the 5.5GPM 3000 PSI range, this would be minimum. If your budget will allow, 8gpm will do nothing speed up your cleaning and rinsing time, there by making you more profitable. For residential cleaning, IMO, GPM far out weighs PSI everyday. I use very little pressure when cleaning residential.

How to remove rust stains on vinyl siding
Doug Rucker replied to skeetermike's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Mike, oxalic acid should do the trick. A lot will depend on the source of the rust, emergency pan, primary pan, etc. But oxalic acid should work. Just make sure you wear your proper PPE, and neutralize the acid after your done. There are other products you can get like One Restore, that is already premixed. It works great too.- 13 replies

Purchasing rebuilt power washer
Doug Rucker replied to KGILL's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Agree w Chad. Find out the history, and if there will be any type of warranty. Sounds a like a great deal on the surface, but I have seen many a used unit bought, myself included, only to have huge headaches down the road. Also see if you can get the previous owners name and contact info and make a call to find out the history and why he did not pick it up.
