  1. ACR Round Table March 15th 2008

I actually think it's not bad to have such two different events at the same time.....gives folks options. I know I'd be frustrated if I couldn't go to a large one for monetary reason and voila!, there's one that fits my budget to go to.....or, if I made it a point to go to one each year but had sort of out grown the smaller events.... maybe I'm not making much sense. It sounded good in my head :)
  2. Many of us have learned much from Master Foley.
  3. Well, this is more creative than most...

What if one of them had to go.....36 hours is a long time!
  4. You can address cracks with a good brush (see 4" & 6" stain brushes that The Sealer Store offers) Spraying is not for everyone but once you get it fine tuned - look out - efficiency is King! Celeste
  5. Rollers suck up so much stain! The large pads that Scott has work GREAT on exotics and we spray PT wood. There are others though that have good success on regular wood with the mops. Spraying & backbrushing with the concrete brooms is fast.
  6. What kind of stain are you putting down? The Sealer Store sells a neat pad - Shurline / EZ Painter
  7. dperrin, this is totally off topic, but I clicked on your website. Why (and feel free to tell me to MYOB) do you have Google ads for your competitors on your front page?
  8. Osborne here. For back brushing, the Sealer Store has great pads and brushes. A soft concrete finishing broom is also very effective. Celeste
  9. We're looking at this set up next week actually. It is a viable option for not only certain restorations but also cleaning where large quantities of water cannot be used, ice is pretty inexpensive at less than .03/sq ft. Machines are not inexpensive, however can be rented. I'll have to check my old computer for the bookmark on the company we're talking to. Celeste
  10. Drought for Estern Carolina??

All of the information about the meeting as well as registration is on the Contractor Events site -PWNC Meeting. Or you can just call me tomorrow and I'll get copies of the newsletter to you and take your info over the phone if you want to make it :) 336-261-3051 Celeste
  11. Oh Wah.....you should apply stain more often Paul, those are stunning :) Celeste
  12. Drought for Estern Carolina??

I heard that on the news as well. It's not so much the city or government restrictions that are hurting the residential guys, it's the stigma attached to doing work that appears to be "aesthetic", although thankfully, some just don't care! Mike, did you get the info for the PWNC and the upcoming meeting? You guys should come - it's going to be a blast - we're well over 20 already. Again, I promise the "official business" part will NOT be long - after that it's pure networking (with food) Celeste
  13. Insurance

Joe Walters here as well :)
  14. Sending bypass water to grass?

Seems like a terrible waste of water.
  15. Anyone used deckstar sprayer from sunbrite?

Oops, sorry :) I tried! I know just what you mean about the rolling & pump ups - it does get tedious. I hate rolling when it's hot and the sealer starts to create cobwebs - I know that matte down but they drive me nuts when it's happening. I'm thinking you're probably doing much larger areas than we do when doing overlays. For small jobs, we've successfully used those Wagoner power sprayers - the job must be pretty small though or you spend a lot of time filling up little containers. Celeste
  16. Recession and Inflation????????

Not if your water is restricted!! Many areas now require documentation that proves some sort of legitimacy to get permissions to wash :) Those with that in place need to take FULL advantage! No lowballer can afford the fines if caught washing. Recession or not.....dirt isn't going away. Real estate being as competitive as it is now, can't afford not to boost the appearances. I say find the silver lining and make it platinum!! Celeste
  17. Drought for Estern Carolina??

Hey Dane - you going to make it to Myrtle Beach????
  18. Anyone used deckstar sprayer from sunbrite?

Here you go.... I typed in "deckster" in the search feature. There are 7 pages with 152 threads relating to that device :) http://www.thegrimescene.com/forums/search.php?searchid=420322
  19. Drought for Estern Carolina??

You may have to reach him through The Cleaner Network - powered by vBulletin Rowlett Pressure seems to be down? His wife Beth handles his chem sales now. Celeste
  20. Drought for Estern Carolina??

Dane, most areas are not restricting legitimate companies from staying in business. The state has even publicly expressed concern for that. Some areas are cutting back on what is perceived as aesthetic cleaning, ie housewashing, wood care. Changing perceptions on those things is a big agenda. Other work for restaurants, and new construction is still wide open. Celeste
  21. Drought for Estern Carolina??

Drought Maps NC SC You can see up to date maps there. Celeste
  22. Wow, totally off topic but I saw DanMc as a user and immediately was reminded of McMoo :( Celeste

  24. Deck Expo 2008 March 4-6 Orland Fl

We'd like to try to make it this year now that it's on our side of the world :) Celeste
  25. Adrian, it can be sprayed through several different methods - not really that thick. We have no less than 4 sprayer options - give Roger a call (336-516-6139) and he can get you going to make some $$$! C
