Tonka crane holding a note that says "Yes" on a piece of wood?.......is he saying yes?

Who is up for meeting up in Nashville that ISN'T going to the convention but realizes the opportunity for a super fun, impromptu meet up at the location?
-
Roger & I both think very highly of Scott & John......just because he's a Marine Sniper, only need to fear him if you **** him off (which neither of you do :) ) We're looking very forward to seeing everyone in Nashville in a couple of weeks - still working on details but we both feel like an appearance is very important to John, Linda and hopefully the industry in general. Sometimes folks just gotta do what they gotta do - I'm excited :D

Email from Linda today---she is a very special lady.

What else can I use Sodium Percarbonate for besides cleaning wood?
Celeste replied to Christopher's topic in Chemicals & Safety
LOL - there is no such place that is "free of humidity" in North Carolina, hence, short shelf life! :D -

Pretty sure that stuff has a shelf life too..... -
John.....weren't we talking yesterday about "over-talking" things, because you just did it again and I got lost :) You would think that with a wife as smart as Kathy, a friend Beth - as good of a writer as she is and me as the "tough cookie" southern translator - the three of us SHOULD be able to put some coherent words down for you :D Let me see if I can get this right from the above rambling: 1. You did a really nice thing cleaning a memorial (without permission). 2. The recipient took that gesture for what it was - a kind and generous thing to do. 3. You told her about other contractors that do that. 4. She is recognizing that and because of WHO she is, others are taking notice of this industry's actions. 5. Because of these new people taking notice, other contractors are now coming forward with good deeds. 6. Because people are now noticing all the good deeds, our industry is going to be recognized as good people and will likely see a return on their kindnesses. 7. Somebody has ultimately decided you are aren't just a good egg, you're a super egg and better things are happening for you because you paid so much forward for others in our industry. Kinda like that?

Awarding One company a yr for a volunteer cleaning
Celeste replied to John T's question in The Club House
You'd think with all of the brains running around pressure washing that somebody would learn to write successful grants - those folks are like weathermen (get paid whether it comes through or not). It is difficult and tedious - lots of hoops to jump through but it's kind of like dominos....once you get one, they get easier after that. Celeste -

Then there is the whole "look what industry" you're dealing with factor. People will question how the selection committee is chosen and what their qualifications are to pick a candidate or winner. I love where your heart is John but you need to get it off of your sleeve and back nearer to your head where it's safer :) -

Do,s and don'ts of buying trailer mounted

Check ebay and craigslist. Deals on there every day that don't include a commission for the shop selling for somebody else. Pretty sure he'll still take you as a customer for maintenance & repairs later :) -
Can mineral spirits screw up a product?
Celeste replied to plainpainter's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
We have found that the 1500 is "weird" to apply after becoming accustomed to the thinner stains - you can get lap marks if brushing because it takes longer to penetrate. Our test subject is taking abuse from my chickens - after 7 months - the vertical posts, which on the coop take more direct sunlight than the horizontals are showing a slight lightening - noticeably at the knots. If someone was to have a well shaded deck - this would appear to do well as we have been MORE than soggy this year and I see ZERO signs of black spots :) -
Anybody look to see that the original question was from 2004 Also, Russell - please do a search for DISTRIBUTOR rules on this forum. We have paying advertisers and you're stepping on toes.
-
Russell - are you an advertising distributor on this board now? If not, you should check with Beth about soliciting outside of the allowed threads.

Sic' it to some Sikkens (Removing Cetol Dek)
Celeste replied to bigchaz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
And if you can find my "respectful" threads on AC - Charlie is 20 miles from us. We're under the same rainclouds we're so close. We get polar opposite results with the stain and have never even had failed product replaced or offered to be replaced. The public outcry and bashing hurt OUR company, period. We have never had the issues anyone else did with ESI products but heaven forbid we post good results of our established work with "that" stain. I'm just sayin'. NOW, BETH said back to the topic. Hope no public people can see this and start it all over again. -

But it still doesn't excuse the publicity and the ramifications on innocent parties --- -

Wow, considering that we WERE professionally injured by the attack on WT - and we have very respectfully & publicly spoken of our issues with AC Clark - I guess you still have to be in that "other" group to have an opinion count or be protected. -
