We've all been new to this profession or at least a facet of it and many many things have changed over the past years in the industry. Please share the most important thing you learned as a newbie, good, bad or otherwise!

Cabot or Readyseal?

We've had no problems applying Wood Tux with our sprayer set up but after reading some of these posts, I believe we'll be trying the airless as well if we can get all of the dust bunnies out of it! Celeste -

Beautimous - just beautimous! -
Criminals should not (a) get into office and (b) if they do sneak through, NOT be allowed to benefit when they get caught. Regular criminals don't get pensions or even severance pay for being stupid. For the record, I am opposed to same *** marriages, however, I do agree with the same *** union (as someone called it about 12 pages ago) and for the same reasons. I personally don't care to see men hanging on one another or women being openly sexually affectionate, however, what goes on behind closed doors in one's relationship, ie watching PORN, is your business. I absolutely do not see any relevance in whether or not a gay man or woman should not be elected if they are qualified for the position. Jeff, you're not saying outloud that you would be a discriminatory employer are you? Celeste

Great News!!!!!!! After literally laying on top of our wayward mama, Lexie is now tending to her puppies - well, she's feeding them and licking somewhat. She's still muzzled as she's still not completely comfortable but this is a huge relief on the feeding team :) Celeste

That was the way I looked at it Larry - wasn't planning on breeding for profit. Roger & I just wanted hunting dogs, then thought "Oh how pretty their babies would be - then ugh, it's too much trouble to keep them separated - now "Oh, geez, who pooped and who didn't and did you feed that one or this one?" Both parents are the best natured, albeit irresponsible & immature beasties :) They are both getting fixed pretty soon also! Celeste

I think 4 are sold.....but I'm not opposed to giving if it means they will go NOW! They are full blooded but their AKC registration paper trail ended with their mom's side and dad's grandparents (I've never pushed the issue). Both parents have shown good hunting tendencies, which was our primary reason for adopting these dogs. I had a total lapse of good sense when I didn't separate them during her heat (the whole hindsight is 20/20 is really setting in!) Celeste

I think both of the males are taken already - one of our builders snatched one up the day they were born and Tater has a couple of homes :) Since Lexie wants NOTHING to do with these pups (Jake just nervously watches them - no licking yet Jon - and he's certainly not capable of feeding LOL) I'm hoping that I can get folks to take them NOW and deal with all of the feeding and fussing and pooping. I am exhausted. Celeste

Funny shot of the runt (Tater)

Here are all 9...... Also a shot of Mom & Dad (and what they've done to my kitchen door! Puppy sales will get that replaced :)) Just as an update - Lexie is still not remotely interested in being around them so I'm back to bottle duty.

HA! We got another boy!
-
Roger was feeding - I was being a midwife :) The feeding has suddenly become complicated by not being able to tell who's been fed or not. We're going to have to figure out a color coded "collar" system, Celeste
-
Now we have eight - 5 chocolates and 3 vanillas :) Somehow we only got ONE boy (the other male was the one that didn't make it) and SEVEN girls! Celeste
-
And then there were five.

St. Augustine, FL used to be (just don't know anymore really) a really romantic and net place to visit. Carriage rides, great food, reasonable walks. I'll bet a B&B would be really nice down there. Celeste
-
Okay, the count is back up to 4 - she had another one while I was typing!!!!!! Crap I need help! Celeste
-
Bill, You need to plan a visit over here :) I do believe we could very likely help one another! Celeste

Jon, Are you off your meds or just drinking Foley's koolaid? You've been quite a bit more insulting, rude and personal about things that don't agree with you. Last I checked, "munchkins" are in EVERYONE'S town - maybe where I live, they don't like folks like your friend. Frankly, I think I'd throw rocks at you if you drove through right now. Last I checked, pregnant women actually dislike being called "pregos". Murphy, NC (clean of the Eric Rudolph hiding out still if my memory serves me correctly) is a charming place. It is NOT overflowing with touristy stuff that brings long stands in line, horrific traffic and high prices. Hiking is not a prerequisite to going there nor is it the only thing to do. Be nice. Celeste

Jon I have NO idea what you are talking about. Munchkintown?? Ryan, I'm talking about Murphy, NC. We've done a home there and also spent time just hanging out with our kids at the cabin. You can have pure solitude or if you want to drive through the mountains, there are actual routes laid out with premarked stops. I will send you an email with the information (email me at prowash2@carolinaprowash.com) and pics of the cabins if you like. Celeste

Ooooh OOOH - Check out Biltmore Estates! Celeste

I know of a beautiful mountain in the western most part of NC - secluded cabin rentals are very reasonable, views are to die for, there are great drives to take, neat shops, good food......I'm talking myself into a vacation! Celeste

I absolutely LOVE that story - during a time of extreme strife in my life someone shared it with me and suddenly many many things that had occurred just prior to my hearing the story made perfect sense. It was a pivotal time of my adult life. Celeste
