I know not an awful lot about decks, but that doesn't seem like something I would want to hear as a homeowner...

What would be the correct strength? He just wanted to get the mold off. The rest of the deck looked fine.

I have a house wash I am doing next week and the owner wanted me to wash off mold that is on his deck. The mold is only a patch of roughly 4x4 ft. The deck has a solid stain on it, that is roughly a year old. I didn't want to put bleach on the deck because I don't want to lift the stain. Any ideas on how I can get this done? I understand investment and return very well. My issue is with debt and leverage. Being that my client base is not yet established and that work is hit or miss, it is a big step to go out with an 8k loan. I am a believer that 8k in marketing for residential clients will produce a better bottom line than 8k in equipment for commercial work, with no advertising budget. Brad.

Very interested to know more, Beth. I have a background in accounting so I understand capital leases. I had no idea there were companies that would do this with our industry. Can someone point me in the right direction? This would be perfect! Brad.

Right now my company is small, but debt free. I am thinking of taking the plunge and buying a good trailer set up that will cost between 8-10k. I am very hesitant about doing this, mainly because I like for my cash outflows to go toward marketing and not toward debt service. Just wanted to get the expert's opinion on debt in your business.

We have started our marketing now so that people will be familiar with our brand come good weather. I was just curious how it is for the entire industry. It is currently being built out as we speak. Plan on doing PPC with it, and some Google optimization.

That's awesome Rick! I've got 4 jobs lined up this week. Not great but I'll take it considering it is supposed to snow this week. People don't have exterior maintenance on the brain!

Sporadic. Just like anything, you get what you put in it. It was almost our "business experiment" while in college. Some months were great, some weren't. I decided to buy my buddy out and take a stab at this thing my way.

This isn't my first year in the business, just the first year by myself. The business is about 7 years old, and I was a partner in it, and bought my partner out. Was just wondering how things go typically. Brad.

This is my first full year in the pressure washing business. I am in TN and I know that the answer will vary based on location, but am wondering....when do you see an uptick in activity? We are booking a hand full of jobs/week now, but nothing to write home about. Thanks for your help, Brad.
