  1. Do you wash in the rain?

I use nylon that is lined to be water proof. It is a lot lighter than PVC and holds up real well.
  2. removing paintball paint

They taste like soap. I have gotten hit in the facemask a few times. It splatters through the slots. Hot water should reconstitute the dried material and wash it off.
  3. 40 year old redwood home

You should contact Carolina Pro Wash. They do wood restoration for a living and can certainly help you out. If wood is not treated and protected properly it will just rot. Cleaned and sealed properly your house will look much different than it does now. Think of how much it would cost to side a home with redwood now days. Take care of it to protect the value and make it look great.
  4. The Fleet

Looks like Fords, nice choice. Are they diesels?
  5. NO 12%, HELP research

Look at the Vinyl Siding Institute website. They recommend bleach solution for cleaning. Here is the link to the care page: http://www.vinylsiding.org/aboutsiding/cleanmain/cleaning/ The last line in the mold and mildew section says to use bleach found another link form "amazing siding" http://www.amazingsiding.com/PPF/Parameters/24__/amazing_siding.asp
  6. "partial" house wash?

I have never tried this with residential work. I have had some success with large apartment complexes this way. They have limited budget and I rinse the areas that get full sun. They pay more per square foot for the areas that get a full treatment than if I washed the whole thing.
  7. vinyl siding

Since it is a friends house I would try your house wash mix a little strong and then low pressure rinse it. See if it improves it any. If not(most likely) do like the others suggested and two step it.
  8. Heavy Equipment Washing

A lot of it depends on what the owner wants done. How clean does he want the equipment? Undercarriage, engines, joints etc. or just wanting them to look good on the outside. One thing to consider is it is very difficult to get them shiny without 2 stepping. They are simply too hard to brush in most cases. A good degreaser is also a must.
  9. I bought two of his smaller ones and they were in great condition.
  10. Clip Art

I knew I got them somewhere, just couldn't remember where. The last two look like painters though.
  11. Clip Art

    missed them
  12. Clip Art

    some small ones
  13. Fence Pricing

I think it is 2x6 rail fence..not so many square feet
  14. question about pressure washer brands

A lot of it it depends on waht size you are looking at and what you are trying to clean. Hydrotek, Alkota, Hotsy etc.. are good brands but it depends if you are looking at a skid or cold water type.
  15. whats in a name

While the MSD's may be the same active ingredients, often it is the concentration/strengthe of the product that is the difference. That is why HD and Lowes produsts may be the same active ingredients but not nearly as strong as professional grade products. This may be why there is a difference in price between the products you looked at.
  16. These guys have surface cleaner although not the steel eagle. You might call though or see if they have one you like. They are the only Florida based dist I know of. http://www.1800333wash.com/surface_new.asp
  17. Here is a deck I stripped Tuesday and refinished today. The customer wanted a light stain so I used Cabots clear solutions, it has a light pigment and they wanted it to look similar to oak. I was curious as to the pros order of restaining. Do you spray the rails from the outside, then inside followed by deck floor? I was really concerned about the stain setting up on me and causing overlap marks. I ended up rolling and brushing the rails for the most part and then sprayed and backrolled the floor. I know this is not the most efficient way to do it. It seems my way was too slow to be profitable.
  18. Thanks for the tips. I will try the tarp and sheet moethod to speed it up.
  19. How many brands of pw are there.

I have seen KEW and Jenny makes steam/pw'er
  20. Gas prices

Private business/enterprise is the best place for a new idea. If there were a more efficient, cheaper and practical source of energy, it would have been invented. Private enterprise would make a killing on something like this IF it was profitable. That is why we have overpriced and governement subsidized electric and hybrid cars now, it just isn't profitable or practical yet. Gas at $6.00/ gallon...maybe to some degree but just try using an electric car to run your business with. That is unless you buy the conspiracy theory that there is a car that runs on water in Area 51 that the government and big oil keep secret.
  21. Save $$$ Bio-diesel info

I have some links gathered for reading. There are a ton of forums out there for bio as well. Beware anybody telling you that an appleseed reactor is a "bomb" waiting to go off. You will eventually see that he/she is selling $3000 reactor kits. http://www.forums.biodieselnow.com/ http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/719605551/m/9541092001 http://www.riverstonesbiodiesel.com/appleseed/ The hardest part is the gathering of oil.
  22. Gas prices

Ibuilt my own homeade " appleseed" processor made out of a water heater. I have got less than $300 in the whole thing. I can give you more info if you want.
  23. Gas prices

What if they government set limits on how much you can charge for a pressure washing? Your actual costs are low so the profit margin is pretty high. Customers should complain about that too? Business basics, if it is a hot commodity, people will pay. Just a little thought not trying to be argumentative, I pay $3.00/gal for diesel and don't like it one bit.
  24. You can get it here: http://www.chemistrystore.com/index.html but it is not the cheapest. Look for chem distributors/wholesalers in the yellow pages first.
  25. Poly Braid Hose

The PVC hose is in the chemical application section. They have drop down menus that you select your length from.
