  1. Pump Rebuild ?

I run with the local fire department and we have been having problems with our 110v 3.0gpm 1500 psi belt driven washer. The pump needs rebuild due to high rust in our well water and a filter not doing its job. We took the pump to a local company and they want $491.00 total for the rebuild. Its $750 for a new pump. Does this seem right for the rebuild to be so high? Is it something I can do myself with just a standard rebuild kit. Not sure how much damage occured from the rust but the machine still operated, just not at full pressure. Thanks for any help.
  2. I think this is artillery fungus, what do you think?

I was contracted to do a housing complex, around 60 units of aluminum siding, mulch all around them... the artillery fungus was unbelievable, it is very difficult to remove. I blame it on the landscapers and their mulch.
  3. Favorite House was Mixtures

I am running a 3.8 gmp machine, what type of nozzle should I use to shoot chemicals in that fashion. When downstreaming, I thought that you had to use chem injection nozzles which were low pressure that would draw chem into the line... I have only used the xjet so i am new to this. Thanks for your help.
  4. Something Intersting

I was on a residential concrete cleaning job one day when a exterminator rolled up. He had a small truck and pulled out a hose and went right up to the house and started spraying the eves, around 20 - 30' high without problem. I asked him what kind of pump he was using and it was an OlHausen sp hooked up to a 100 gal chem tank?? I was amazed how the stream stayed when spraying that high. Can this be done with shur flo pumps? How many psi and what kind of tip do you use? Any one using this set up to apply chemicals? Jon Chiplock The Pressure's On Butler, PA
  5. Pump Rebuild ?

Not 100% sure what model or make the pump is, I believe it is a general pump. Hose is pulsating. Other than that no problems except a lot of rust.
  6. Favorite House was Mixtures

When downstreaming how can you shoot to higher areas?? Extension wand?
  7. Best way to apply stripper?

I use both shur flo and also I use a back pack sprayer on some occassions. It is just as quick and you can keep constant pressure. I really dont have a preference between the two but for a larger job the back gets soar using the pack. Jonathan Chiplock The Pressure's ON Butler, PA
  8. Favorite House was Mixtures

I have found better results with the emulsifier plus.
  9. Extend-a-wand Problem

Ever since I bought my extend-a-wand three years ago, when I use it I have trouble locking the pins into place so it never stays extended for very long. I havent used it a whole lot but now I am doing more house washing and use it a lot. It is becoming very annoying. Has anyone else encountered this and is it something I should call the company about. Thanks. Jonathan Chiplock
  10. Extend-a-wand Problem

I also have an x-jet and use it on the extension wands.
