  1. I run with the local fire department and we have been having problems with our 110v 3.0gpm 1500 psi belt driven washer. The pump needs rebuild due to high rust in our well water and a filter not doing its job. We took the pump to a local company and they want $491.00 total for the rebuild. Its $750 for a new pump. Does this seem right for the rebuild to be so high? Is it something I can do myself with just a standard rebuild kit. Not sure how much damage occured from the rust but the machine still operated, just not at full pressure. Thanks for any help.

  2. I was on a residential concrete cleaning job one day when a exterminator rolled up. He had a small truck and pulled out a hose and went right up to the house and started spraying the eves, around 20 - 30' high without problem. I asked him what kind of pump he was using and it was an OlHausen sp hooked up to a 100 gal chem tank?? I was amazed how the stream stayed when spraying that high. Can this be done with shur flo pumps? How many psi and what kind of tip do you use? Any one using this set up to apply chemicals?

  3. Well with the season beginning for most people, I just wanted to see what everyone is using in their house wash mixtures and techniques. I know this has been a past topic but not recently. In a 5 gallon bucket i mix:

2 parts emulsifier plus or limonene

    1.5 parts bleach

.5 part cascade as a rinse agent

    1 part water

I mix the solution and use my m5 x-jet to wash. I can normally tackle an average 2 story house in under 2 hours. I have just purchased Powerhouse from sunbrite and I am going to try this out. Anyone using it now??? How do you like it?? I alter my mixture with bleach and water depending on mold/mildew and other challenges. It seems to be working pretty well.

  4. Ever since I bought my extend-a-wand three years ago, when I use it I have trouble locking the pins into place so it never stays extended for very long. I havent used it a whole lot but now I am doing more house washing and use it a lot. It is becoming very annoying. Has anyone else encountered this and is it something I should call the company about. Thanks.
