I bought the one from Northern tool that Squirtgun posted the link to. I bought it for a job and have yet to get myself to use it. It's noticable heavier than the yellow noodle type but looks to be very well built and capable of downstreaming.The job I'm doing is a paint prep at the Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete beach. Luckily the painter I'm doing this for rented a lift for a month and this is pretty much all i've used. I've used the noodle where I had to around 10 feet or so and in my opinion is the most practicle. Like any tool , the noodle or any extention wand has it's place.

ANY job over $1000.00, I get 25% up front. If the customer has issues with that,(none so far..) I don't do the job. Always get a contract signed. I think it just makes sense and brings out the reality and seriousness of the deal.

Never let a customer tell you how to do a job. This is where you and your professional experience comes in to play. There will always be some "other" guy whether speaking of prices , procedures, etc. Tell them the proper, safe , efficient way to get the results the customer requires. The customers called you the professional for a reason. At that point you now will have to educate them.

For a couple days I would keep seeing ASHPALT SHINGLE CLEANING APPLICATIONS thread posted as new without any new response.Yes, I clear my cookies,temp files several times a day.....

What I'm seeing is some posts from a few days ago keep coming up as new without anything new about it.I've also had the same problems as the others.

That's pretty good considering I now use one that gives me 20% which I like because in the last year I really got used to downstreaming.More is always better!Thanks!

Carry a cell phone in your pocket when going up on roofs.Keep an emergency contact on your speed dial or hit 911. Even if you got the wind knocked out of you , they can still trace the call...I think... (in this day and age of technology).

Here's a few from the past 2 weeks....................

No Pressure method is applying chemicals with a sure-flow or flojet pump which gives out less than 45psi and not rinsing.If rinsing is necessary,such as on a lighter colored roof,then all that is needed is a garden hose rinse down. I am a sodium hypochlorite user(10.5%) prediluted with water, down to 4%-7%. Do a search on my other posts for more info if needed.Thanks!:D

Where I work they are cement tiles, although alot of customers assume they are clay,or ceramic. I have yet to come across any ceramic tiles and another board member who also does alot of tile roofs said that he has only come across one home that really had a clay tile roof. Like I said they require a stonger mix to kill the fungus ,mold or algae thats up there.

Yes there is,some people choose to have them painted also but I have yet to been asked for any roof to be sealed. Here you need a contractors license to paint but I think you can get away with a sealer job.:D

I always charge anywhere between .025 cents to .075 cents extra for tile. But like always there are some guys that will TRY to do it for alot less. They may require a stronger mix and a repeat spot treatment but come just as clean. Yes they are definately slippery but if all is applied in a manner as not to paint ones self into a corner so to speak, it's business as usual.

Some of it looks a little steep but adventurous to say the least.! Looks like the steep areas could be done from the ladder at the roofs edge,the rest can be carefully walked and sprayed.I have encountered some like that here in Florida.Nice place. In second thought...I think the first level is walkable but may be better to still apply it from a ladder being it is probably a 7 or 8/12 pitch in my guesstimation.
