Desperate times call for desperate measures!? "In vegas, people used to conduct bikini car washes. They created such a traffic problem that the police department literally had the city council vote to ban them" They do them here sponsored by strip clubs and also high school cheerleaders, yes, seriously!LOL!! -
Help on concrete cleaning pricing!
K.J. Pressure Washing replied to walter d's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I myself have a minimum price for any job. I will not go out, estimate and then complete a pool deck for $30-40. Now if it is small and I am already there performing other services which I'm making a nice profit on, I will charge a smaller fee as a add on. I do work in Pinellas(Clearwater), Pasco and Hillsborough counties for nearly 5 years now and consitently charge double than what was posted above as a starting point. Just my .02. :) -

What method do you use for cleaning Cages?
K.J. Pressure Washing replied to Kory's question in Residential Pressure Washing
For me it's hard to beat downstreaming pool cages as the 20% injectors are giving me aound 2% of s.h. hitting the surface, which is strong enough for me and to keep up on the plants (as far as rinsing) in and around the pool area. I have used the x-jet when I was starting out, and it was quicker, but, I was using 3-4% s.h. at the surface and have found this much to be overkill. I feel it's better to reapply, then re-rinse the surrounding area again, then do a final rinse of the cage. Also 3-4% in the cage will require the use of a mask...even at 2% it can be a little strong in the summer with no breeze! -
Nice job all the way around Justin!

Figure on raking it up and hauling it away. Just add the cost of it into your final price for roof cleaning.

Cool Crete/Kool Deck Sealing.
K.J. Pressure Washing replied to Paul B.'s question in Residential Pressure Washing
"Ken you are going to the wrong paint store. i purchase h&c at sherwin williams and they have it in a tint-base and can tint it to any color. yes the acrylic silicone version." Thanks for the heads up on that Jim. I guess the one painter told me this doesn't bother to go the extra step in offering different colors.I guess he likes to redo white only.Huh, go figure... This is good news because a new Sherwin Williams store opened up close to my new house here. Thanks! -
Cool Crete/Kool Deck Sealing.
K.J. Pressure Washing replied to Paul B.'s question in Residential Pressure Washing
I have been offering this service for the last 2 years now. You can use the waterborne sealers which can come in most any color or, go the route I have now chosen which is to use a silicone acrylic sealer from H&C. The water based is thinner and easier to cleanup when working with but is not as durable. The silicone(with xylene) has better millage(thickness) dries faster and is much more durable, but must be cleaned up with xylol to remove any mess. The waterborne can be cleaned up with alcohol. I do a fair amount of work for painters and this is what they have taught me. The H&C products only come in their standard colors that cannot be died other than mixing 2 colors of H&C together. If there is an existing waterborne sealer down, you can use a primer over that first before applying your 2 coats of product. These are what are used and will not effect the temperature of the deck. Good Luck! -

I'm sure Jon will elaborate, but, from what I know he quit the franchise. For some areas, like you mentioned , it's the only way to go , outside of scraping the gum off!
