Don't let your soap dry on the house/windows, keep everything wet. Soap small sections at a time than rinse.

Job Lead for St. Augustine, FL 32084 Bidding ENDS SOON!
Mike B. replied to extremeclean's topic in Contractor Help Wanted - Job Leads
I helped David last year on 3 or 4 of the larger schools. In my opinion there is no money to be made at less than 5 cent a S.F. Under stand these cleanings are done at the most once a year. two of the schools had not been cleaned in three years ( it looked more like 5 years) With the fuel prices rising I was worried that I would "win" the bid at 5.7 cents. Good luck at 4, 3 and 2.5 cents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Neutralizing Solution for Chemical Injectors
Mike B. replied to WashRite's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I have been rinsing with water for years and it works well for me. -
I have used it only on paint prep jobs, at the painters request. It mixes with bleach. As it has already been written it can etch glass, rinse windows. Do not allow it to dry on the windows!

I recently talked with the local utility department about a hydrant meter and water rates. $500 deposit for the meter, $25 application fee, $2.32 a day rental for meter. $1.34 per 1000 gallons of water, I was shocked how inexpensive the water is. I passed this information on to the PM and HOA I would use a hydrant meter for your townhouse project.

One of my customers called me a few week ago asking about wet and forget. I had never heard of it and could not really answer any of their questions. It seems Costco and Ace are selling it, after talking with the customer they told me they already had purchased a gallon that makes six gallons of diluted product. They wanted to know how much I would charge them to spray their screened pool enclosure with it. Since I didn't know what chemicals were in it I declined to price the job, I asked if they would be happy to pay some one to "clean their pool enclosure" and wait six months for the green and black algae and mold to go away. It seems like a hard sell to me!

Envirospec sells plexmaster and emulifier +

I just cleaned a red metal roof Monday, it came out great! It's seven years old, under large oak trees. I used emulsifier plus and used 800 psi/ 8 gpm than sprayed with plexmaster. Be careful if you walk the roof, when you spray soap on metal it,s a slide!!

Hey Mark, I've been in business since 1999 also. I have never had plant damage using the same mix as you. i am not sure what happened, did you rinse after washing? I have burned plants preforming roof cleaning, even with pre-wetting, rinsing during and after applying the cleaning mixture.

I would say yes on a house wash in a light rain. No on wood stripping/ cleaning, the rain will dilute your chemicals.

I just upgraded my ten year old Honda 18 hp ts pump to a 24 hp Honda tsf2021. In ten years I replaced the left ignition coil twice, other than preventive maintenance-oil & filter, air filters I have never had an issue. This past year the engine started to smoke when first started. I love Honda's for their reliability, I worked on Honda's and Acura for 23 years, I was a certified ASE master tech Honda/Acura master tech. I really enjoyed test driving the NSX awesome car! I have heard there are some issues with the new hondas, I guess I'll find out with the new 24hp.

Hydro Blasting
Mike B. replied to Jim_Cooney's question in Having A "Blast" (sand, soda, dry ice, etc.)
I don't have any experience with hydro blasting, but have read some articles in cleaner times magazine. I will try to look through them this week end and see if they may of some help to you. They may have them on line!
