  1. Who has Worker's Comp?

I agree.... that statement is wrong... we ARE a ligit company and incorporated i am a one man show.... and i am filed under workers comp exemption in the state of florida.... my contract states that we are a corp... and that the homeowner/business ect is not held responsable for actions taken by contractor that may lead to injury...i also do NOT get on roofs lol so theres very little danger of injury lol if you supply an exemption form to an hoa they 99% of the time will be fine with that ...they just want to see that siomethign is covered..... a way around using help and still beign exempt is by hiring tempt from a agency that r covered themselves OR hiring a serperate contractor that has his /her own licensing :) we recently completed cleanign and sealing contract for the Boca Polo club 60,000 sq ft and 2 of us yes 2 people we finished the entire job in 2 weekends :)
  2. Drive way I did today

NIce work.... I saw you live in orlando.... one thing for yuo to think abuot is starting to do pavers.... and paver driveways.....being in Florida they are a VERY big business , not so much in other states lots of money in paver sealing... and very low overhead you can use your existing equipement... geta chem injector soem light acid and detergent and a big 18 inch roller and pan and be done in no time...if you ever have any questions about PAVERs i am the authority in Florida for pavers and paver and brick sealing:lgbow: id be more then happy to help you out with any questions :)
  3. Dirty house

Thats sooo odd.... i guess the rest of the country is sowly picking up brick pavers.... 90% of the homes and developments here in south florida are brick pavers... to se a houe like that with just plain ol concrete??? Sad ...but at least i know why im usually the only one talkin about paver sealing on this site lol

theres been posts on tire marks that cant be gotten out.... just some info.....product from company called techniseal, skid mark/oil formula. 5. oil....and tire marks

well i have 2 trailers one with 13 hp 4.8 gpm 3500 psi and another 24 hp 8 gmp 3500 psi/..... and never ever had a problem washing it off with either machine, i dont know where they got that from........ the product is about the consistency of paver sealer thick liquid clear..... ill usually pore on spread it out with a hard bristle brush and let it sit for about 5-1 minutes then scrub.... then wash off with pressure. works great :) i get it here from a paver manufacturer paver systems in west palm florida.
  6. oil....and tire marks

Funny you mention the sealed over the rubber.... Ive had a few cases liek this... and in most the sealer actually helped in removal....the sealer bonded itself to the rbber left on the pavers and when stripped the rubber came up with it.

  8. oil....and tire marks

www.techniseal.com look for the paint remover... removes tar, rubber, paint, ect.. i dotn know what chemicals are in it...i just use what works. Ive seen alot of people buy seperate chemicals according to what does what.... Im not a chemist, i have a warehouse and i have about 200 sq ft of pavers i do constant experiments with ill pore oil on them.... or do burnouts on them to see what chems i have that will get it out and i use what works :)

  14. Help with starting out question

Hello, Well ive been in business for about 2 years now..... i actually was thinking about it and saving for a rig when i was let go from my sales position becuase of downsizing. I went out the next day and bought a simple rig 13 hp belt drive 4x8 trailer hoses hover ect for about 4000.00 and then wondered now what? lol I didnt become inc until a few monthes ago hjust becuase ive been doign big jobs.... you may want to thnk about just gettign an occupational license which is fine until u get started which is about 30.00 here in florida..... Im lucky i live in florida so you can clean year round ( no snow) however i would set everything up first, your insurance, occ license buisness cards ect before you buy the rig.... my fist jobs were goign door to door putting flyers i made for a week straight in soem large subdivisions.. theres so much money to be made.... might wanna think about sealing also pavers specifically...should be gettign popular where u r and its a great way to make money
  15. How do you pay your guys?

I have only two gusy that work for me part time...when i get so booked i cant do all th jobs myself.... I pay them .12 cents a sq ft ( i do mainly sealing of driveways and walkways ) works out very nice..... 1000 sq ft job they get 120.00 everyones happy....
  16. contract forms

Type up an agreement that u think suits your needs on word or whatever program you choose, have a place for the clients name, number, total job cost ect... at the bottom have a signature line .... office depot will print out carbonless copy pages that have a white front and a yellow reciept page they keep one you keep one after its sighned.... never NEVER start a job without getting a deposit i always get a 50% up front and 50% when completed. Though a sighned copy means a little....lets face it you have a 500 .00 job they dotn pay you, you have a contract with them what can you do??? take them to small claims court spend monthes most people say its not worht it. If you have a persons 50% at least your covered
