as far as clear there is no uv protection .the darker the seler the more uv protection you will have .some products are ready seal ;wood tux wet;wooddefender;thes are products i use and have good success.if applied right .fist you have to clean and then neutralize the wood .i use hd 80 for cleaning .and apply oxcalic acid for the neutralizer.this is the easiest way.depending on the wood .is it pt or a hard wood different circumstances.

Gutter zap is excellent source for gutters .wet gutters good and x-jet the jap on gutters let dwell for 2 minutes then rinse .wet everything down around the house .and wet again and rinse good .make sure you keep those windows rinsed .cause the zap will leave streaky film on them.you will have to mix the zap to how bad your gutters are.i use half gallon to 3 gallonof water .

Good looking work .But it needs a stain or something.

From what i see it would be $300.00 here where im at .use gutter zap on gutters .put gutter zap on wet gutters ;let dwell for a few minutes and rinse.There is no way to do the front without water getting on brick.All i can say rinse everything well. Most important water all greenery down good.this is my way if i had to do this house.As far as vinyl ;use what ever house wash you use on the vinyl.cant do facia and sofit with out wetting brick.

got a deck job today and they had 5 pieces of ratan asked if i could strip the white paint off of them .then ill seal with ready seal .never done ratan whats the best thing to strip the paint off with out hurting the furniture ?

it looks like it will not weaken the ratan .with the understanding of the ratan may get weakened.the clients understood the situtation of striping ratan may be not good element for the ratan .ill get pics and post them .

What is the opinion of seal max .Good for 25 yrs .Cant concieve of this product last this long .

There is only so much ya can do to strip silly .Its bad stuff.wouldnt recomend to anyone.ill never do one again .it still hold water .seems like cant get it all off. its cheaper to replace the wood

thnx for the input .i stripped the ratan and it came out excellent .then stained it with readyseal dark red .clients went nuts over the work .the color was good .goes with the deck .i know one thing i wont do it again .to much work.

Its a personal thing about stains .You just have to try and see what works for you the best .I have my stains that i use and have good things happen .And no complaints from my clients per say.One other note is the prepreation process is very important.This will determine how the stain will lay and look.Just my 2 cents worth.

I have good luck with hd 80 on decks .and some times severe strip .but severe strip is last resort IVE NEVER STRIPED A SEAL MAX DECK THIS WILL BE THE FIRST .i talked to a buddy that has striped that their silicone .he used severe strip.said it was a long process.dont know why people use this stuff?

I seen some of it .and it didnt impress me .it looked lilke shotty work any how.a customer wanted me to strip her deck of this stuff .when i gave her the price .she wasnt happy .but she ended up calling me back to do for the price as per agreed.it wasnt cheap thats all ill say .

Ive used citrus to clean composite .make sure ya check a little area to see if it dont stain .you shouldnt have a problem though.and use a 40 degree tipand stay back from the composite .if you dont it will leave marks .if its a big area you can try the surface cleaner .just keep it moving .if you can use just water its better to rinse .the pressure is last resort.some times bleach works also.to kill the green .

gutrter zap usually works well 100% with a brush.
