  1. Hire them, give them NO benefits, pay them cash and keep them in places people cant see them. Using this method will save you tons of money as well as keep WC, insurance, etc down to a minimum. Make sure they know they are fired just prior to any accident happening (verbal disclaimer with them).

    Watch your profits SOAR!!!!!!!!

  2. Yea, I think the aluminum will be an easy fix. The SS is what has me worried. There has to be SOMETHING. The budget is open ended. The cost to replace this much stainless will be VERY high and they know it. If they can do it for 70% less, they are happy.

There are literally 1000's of alum brighteners on the market. Its a matter of finding the right one though.

  3. Both. There is about half and half. The stainless is grade 316.

I'm looking at Mothers Wax for the aluminum. I dont know how that will work. They only want a shine for a few weeks on the aluminum.

Nobody knows what was spilled on the floors.... but it was urine, standing water (days I suppose) and freeon and maybe a few other things. And to double the trouble, they tried a few of their own coctails. If you know stainless, you know the care you have to take with chemicals before you start perminate damage.

  4. Well, as many of you know, STAINLESS steel isn't so STAINLESS....

I have a floor that is diamond plate stainless steel that is brand new but has dulled alot. It is also "blotchy" with a darker tint to it in some areas. It is dull and it should be shiney.

There is about 4000 sq ft of this stuff and I have tried a couple of items that didn't do the job. One was the 3M Stainless Steel Polish in the gallon jug.

Of all things, urine (pee-pee) is the culprit.

  5. Not sure how BIG of a unit you need or want or what the application is (indoors or outdoors) but I have a portable light unit that has a 6 KW generator (Kubota 3 CYL Desiel unit) and has (I think) 6 total lights on it. It is desiel ran and will run about 8-10 hours on a fill-up. This is one of those light units you see construction companies using while working at night... a BIG unit. If this isn't what you have in mind, I won't go into many details about a setup.

  6. Palm Treo 650. Bluetooth plus MUCH more.

It's one of those things that once you have it you wonder how you ever got along without it. I even have QuickBooks on mine so I can see bids, invoices, etc anytime. Spreadsheet with all customers names and numbers. Many uses.

  7. I am getting ready to replace an unloader on a Landra PGDC and after reading several opinions, I am thinking about the Zk1 since it is flow and will be easier on the entire system. I have a HydroTec that has a flow unloader and it is TOUCHY. At times, it won't flow ANYTHING, but other times it flows max pressure within 2-3 seconds. Hopefully this isn't normal to be so sensitive.

As far as flow unloaders, is the Zk1 one of the best ones?

I have found them for $57.55 (new with warranty); is there a better place to buy them?

  8. One question out there for the tinkerers...ever replaced a spring on a rapid reel for the pivot lock? (the one that returns the lock pin into the slot) The reason I ask is that it is inside the bar behind the swivel inlet and it looks a bit like a task to tackle. Anyone?

    Rod!~

Nobody replied that they had. But, if I could find a place to BUY them, I could tell you! I have looked and looked for these things. I have about 5 reels that are less than 6 months old and are sitting on a shelf because of broken pins.

I would also say that I am 99% sure all of these pins snapped because of leaving them locked while spraying water. I have a guy that will unroll the entire reel and then lock it down. He's nuts.

But, again, if I can ever locate some of these pins I will let you know if it's easy or not.

  9. There are many many many websites with allot of interesting information in them. For example:

    http://freedomfiles.org/war/pentagon.htm

    http://www.thepowerhour.com/911_articles.htm

There are literally 1,000's of "theories" as to WHY and WHO.

When the Oklahoma City Federal Building was bombed, I had a brother who lived in OKC. Through his friends who supposedly worked there, some of the higher ups (officials) were supposedly told to "Stay home that day". Again, pointing to a Federal Government plot to blow the building up for whatever reason. To say the least, the after math was nothing compared to 9/11. We didn't go to war with a country due to the bomb, only convicted a couple of redneck farmers (or whatever they were).

Who knows...?? I sometimes think that the average US citizen is better off NOT knowing WHY or WHO. I am sure there are BIG BIG BIG things happening today that we are unaware of and I am sure we all sleep better NOT knowing about some things.

If the USA is so big and bad, why can't they catch this ONE guy Bin Laden? Or are they REALLY searching hot and heavy for him? I think we have enough technology and armed forces we could find anyone anywhere. Maybe not at the snap of a finger, but 5 YEARS? I find that hard to believe.

  10. Grizzley, how long do you think you could run two(2) 500watt lights with the inverter before charging up the truck battery? Thanks Hugh Copgib@earthlink.net

I'd hate to guess.... I have ran 2 before for an hour with no problems. I'm not sure if they are 500W or not, but I'd assume they are. They are the yellow halogen work lights that come with a stand.

I have never had the inverter shut down due to low battery during any type of MY usage. I guess it has allot to do with how new/good your battery is as well. It's hard to say if it will work for your application. For the money, it's worth the investment.
