Using sewer jetting hose for power washing
happysmobile replied to Wayne G.'s question in Residential Pressure Washing
The braids are super strong and have very little give. Three 3/16 line van have 10000 psi working pressure and 20000 burst. All hoses need a reinforcing component like the small losely braided white ones on a braided vinyl hose or the six spiraled metal wraps of wire on a H1312 hydraulic hose. Its all about size. The smaller the inner diameter of the hose the less the reinforcing needed to get the same psi rating than on a larger hose. -
Pressure fluctuations, trigger gun problems and pop goes the relief valve

Sounds like the unloader. Maybe junk getting struck in it. I would start there and if that didn't help pull the head off. You would think the unloader would keep the pressure from getting high enough to blow the safety if it was the case of the burner staying on. Wouldn't hurt to check that while you were in there. Good luck. -

pressure washer burner
happysmobile replied to marco's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hey russ does the propane version of the burner need any power source too run? If not id love a price on the smallest one with lp and shipping to canada. -
Im pretty sure you will have to talk to the maker to find the right size nozzles. It may be stamped on the unit somewhere. The smoke is from unburnt fuel so you definately need more air. Ive never needed to change a nozzle so i amagine when you cant give it enough air thats when you would need a new one. I also guess it would take a while for one to wear out.

flow/ minute gpm hose id 1/2 5/8 3/4 1" 6.6 100lbs 35 14 0 10.10 200 70 25 0 These are lbs of pressure drop from a 100' hose that has 104 degree f hyd oil. Its gonna be more than if water was used in this but still quite a pressure drop. 5/8 or 3/4 most likely is gonna have no pressure drop with 100' and water when connected to a hose bib.

Go to any industrial shop and they can make you any size you need. Or for a one time buy a weekend warrior store would do just fine like others said. -

I include wax in my best package. It takes at most 10 minutes to apply to a large house. My spray wax has a 1000-1 ratio and the 4l i have lasts for years. I forget were i got it from.
