Help with Electric PW'er -makes breaker trip
back2new posted a topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hi there I was looking at my dad's garage the other day and there it was ... the first PW that I bought. An "American Eagle" brand model 1104 - 1200PSI - 2.2GPM electric with diesel fired burner. couple of years old ,and yes, it hasn't being started in 20 months at least. I did use this machine only once to be honest with you, bought it used but in very good shape - I've decided to take it home with me and see if I can make it work and sell it , and use that money and some more to buy a gas powered machine with at least 4GPM. Ok, here's the question - The machine starts fine, runs for 10 to 15 seconds and make the breaker trip. I don't know much about equipment repair but at least with gas powered machines I know where to look, but I have NO idea about an electric one. If you feel like help, thanks in advance, and if there's more information that you need to try to figure this problem out please let me know and I'll do my best to get you that info thanks a lot in advance -

I did check my fuse box and now I see what you were talking about. I haven't tried it yet but I read somewhere that the length of the extension cord and gauge is important too ... right ? -

Advice - Low Budget , Home Depot, No interest, Newbie-Part-timer
back2new posted a topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hi y'all The other day I saw a Milkwaukee 3750@4.0 for about $1200 I already have a 1200@2.2 Hot Water, also my 20'' Surface Cleaner My question is: can I get a better machine for that money ? Consider the low budget and the no interest for 6 or 12 mts. Also, I'm not doing a lot of jobs right now, mostly getting ready waiting for the right moment to take the big step and get into this full time with no rush to get the money back immediately, that's why I'm saving every penny right now. Basically I need a machine strong enough to move the surf. cleaner and do the normal stuff, I'm not thinking right now in get the job done in less time, just get it done RIGHT. I can'T provide a link to the machine because I couldn't finD it online, I saw it the other day at the Home Depot close to my work.$1199 Hope you can bring some light to this from your knowledge and experience thanks a lot Have a nice evening -

Thanks Rich I agree with you on that one, but also have the idea that you can keep that "first and weak" machine as a back-up unit in the future. thanks :) -

Hi there sorry because I'm pretty sure I'm posting in the worng place but is late and I need to get some info about this by tomorrow morning if possible I just won an ebay auction and the shipping quote is outrageous, so I was wondering if someone in Johnsburg, IL area or around there knows any freight or trucking company dependable and with fair prices. BTW machine is a tomahawk spot free system, you prolly know about them but that's another story, and I'll be back with questions about that later. thanks in advance sorry for the off-topic Carlos

Hi there my first post here in this boards, and I want to say thanks to you all for the great learning experience you bring here everyday to all of us, experienced and not. http://cgi.ebay.com/pressure-washer_W0QQitemZ4424190630QQcategoryZ50388QQcmdZViewItem I've just bought this on ebay, I don't have a "main" pressure washer yet, I'm still saving money or waiting for the right deal, and there's no rush since I'm not officially started in this trade, I've just make a couple of jobs, not more than that. I think it is a good purchase for that money, and I have already a All American 1200psi/2.2GPM hot water. I believe there no was to much bid fight for it since due to the lack of information about the item, but I did my homework and made a brief research over the net and seems like I did allright. Inputs about it will be appreciated. Thanks a happy holidays for you and your families. Carlos Houston,TX
