Congratulations Mike. It comes as no surprise to me that you are receiving such positive feedback from your customers. You obviously set out to start-up a successfull business paying particular attention to equipment, techniques and most important, customer satisfaction. It's success stories such as yours and many others like you here at TGS that inspire me to press onward with my PW biz. With that said, when can I come down to RI and see for myself what great work you do? You see, you are becoming an Icon here at the TGS. LOL. As far as the flat bed truck. I worked (Labor for Knowledge) for several days with a guy on Cape Cod. He said he has tried all the various set-ups i.e., pickup trucks, open trailers, enclosed box types. He said the flat bed is the most efficient set-up for his needs. Let me tell ya, this guy could fly! His quality was not up to my standards, yet very fast.

The Good The Bad and the OH S**T

Do you need a mechanic or a urologist? LOL. White smoke is usually an indication of h20 entering combustion chamber i.e., a blown head gasket, but being an air cooled engine, I would suspect a bad valve, piston, rings, cracked head or cylinder. Have a compression check performed on the engine for starters. Hope everything works out for ya. -

Wow Doug, that deck sure has been neglected. Has it been sealed previously? What chems for the cleaning? Nice job by the way! -
Hello all! First, I must thank all of you that make this forum such an informative source. Priceless for a newbie such as myself. I need some advice on purchasing a new cold water unit. Initially the primary use will be residential services i.e., house washing, wood/concrete decks, fences and possibly some commercial store fronts. Anyone familiar with http://store.spraymallstore.com/ ? I think the parent company is VC Equipment Corp. located in Fla. The unit Iam leaning towards is: http://store.spraymallstore.com/13hp.html Your comments would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Thanks for the input people. Have not pulled the trigger on purchasing the unit as of yet. Still putting together a list of misc. items, i.e., telescoping wands, hoses, brushes, safety gear, shurflo set-up, chems., ladders and outfitting my pick-up truck. Any suggestions on minimum required equip.?
