Ken - correct Mike - I used my 2.8 gpm @ 2500 psi soaper. M5 works better.

Ken is 1000000000000000000% right. OK - 10000000000000000000.1% right.

I'm sooooooooo glad I just ordered a XJet M5 last week and another one yesterday. (Sarcasm) Oh well, honestly, I really like the X Jet for houses. I have a big condo job coming up in 2 weeks. I figured using the X Jet would make things easier. I washed some big houses this week with the X Jet M5 and was really impressed. I have never downstreamed a house yet. Note - do not wash painted shudders with the M5 set at 0 deg. Even if they are on the 2 story. I'll bet someone here can say why.

Today's Deck - Bleach cleaned Cabot's sealed
Jarrod replied to PressurePros's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
If you are talking about E/O year complete strip, brighten & stain - that's what I've always done. IMHO, it looks great when done that way. I also think it is easier to strip a deck than wash it. -

-
Thank you all for the advice. I did not have my camera with me when I did the bid. I am keeping it with me from now on.

Oil vs. Latex Stains for Cedar Shake?
Jarrod replied to jakewojcik's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
First of all, NEVER ask a painter anything when it comes to wood restoration. I have fixed soooooooo many of their jobs it's not even funny. This might read harsh, but it is not meant to be. I'm just being direct & honest with you. USE OIL. Keep latex & your painter INSIDE THE HOUSE. -

My supplier now carries Messmers. I saw the colors today and I really like them. Who has used this product and what do you think of it? BTW I currently use TWP. Is the Messmers similar in application? Thanx, Jarrod
-
Do you like Messmers?
Jarrod replied to Jarrod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Thank you Rod. Have you or anyone else used it on cedar or pt wood? The colors look soo good. I hope this stuff works well. -
Rod, what about the windows? Do you just soap them first, then apply acid? I've thought about 2 stepping houses b4, but the windows always scare me.

Hi Barry, all you have to do is soap it, brush it, & wash it. Brushing removes all of the oxidation so that the new paint sticks.
