I clean the roofs with 2 people. can I still spray the chems on the roof, water heavily before, during, and after and not rinse the roof? If so what if we just get a light rain. will it kill anything? -
geeeezzzz how do you afford to say in business. I pay .99/ gal.. I don't go on mondays because there is a line of pool cleaning/ a pressure washers. Its like a gas stations with 10 fill stations. you pull up put the nozzle in your tank open the valve and let her flow. they are all metered so there is no guess work. They have 4, 5k gallon tanks and this stuff is HOT . always fresh

soft washing roof questions??!!??

For tile roofs Im mixing 50/50 SH / 10% water with roof snot. For shingles I'm mixing 30/70 SH /water and roof snot. sound about right? with 50/50 running on to the grass will it be ok if i rinse like crazy? i do have some tarps and plastic drop clothes -
Ok so im booked all week with roofs now that Im equipped for soft washing it should be much quicker. I did a shingle roof today and it came out nice and clean. I used a ground guy and I kept everything wet. I bagged the gutters when I applied the chemical. I then removed the bags after like 30-40 min. I rinsed the roof and put a bunch of water around the gutters and landscaping. Now Im praying nothing dies. ( seem like a lot of sh for the grass). My question is I have a barrel tile roof to do and it was no gutters. How do I keep from killing the grass with w/out being able to control the run off. Any help is greatly appreciated..

I have my 12v pump in a battery box. I bought a 4'' 12v fan from radio shack and wired it into the same switch as my pump. It worked for a couple minutes then it stopped working. I returned it to radio shack for another one. i installed it and wired it the same and got the same result. Am i supposed to have a relay or something? Is there a fan alittle more heavy duty that I should use? Any input is much appreciated,

So I'm out of fresh wash and my local pw store doesn't have fresh wash or any thing equivalent . So on a recommendation of the owner I bought a 12.00$ gallon bottle of his favorite car wash. I had 2 houses to wash that day. I mixed in maybe 2 cups or less in a 5 gallon bucket with 4-5 gallons of SH and I down streamed it on to the houses. By the time I was done applying chemical to one wall I looked back and the mildew was devolving and running of the trim and siding. After only a couple minutes of dwelling I quickly rinsed it off and whala, it was squeaky clean! After telling a buddy of mine who is a car detailer told me he uses the same car wash when he washes cars. He to claims he has tried others and always gos back to this particular one. I wonder if it will work in a roof mix.

Soft washing roofs is what I am trying to get into.. I downstream just about everything else.. The everflo is supposed to be every bit as good a the delavan pumps ( I'll keep u updated on that). Do you thing I should cut it down to 250' on my chem hose so there is less friction loss, and less strain on the pump?

Ok so after extensive research and the ambition to expand the services I offer, I am now set up for soft washing. I however would like to list what I purchased and get your feed back and suggestions . I have a 12v 5.5 gpm everflo chem pump, a 900 cca marine battery both in battery boxes . ( I installed a 4" 12v fan in the pump box). My supply is 3/4 " poly braid with a 1" PVC pipe w/ poly mesh on the end( 12' of it) . My chem hose is 300' of 1/2 spiralite . A schedule 80 chemical wand with stainless steal quick disconnects I built all rolled up on a 18" Titan aluminum hose real with a SS manifold and a s.s super swivel. I plan on using SH with fresh wash. I also have roof snot for the steep pitch roof or low pitch with out gutters ... Tell me what you think ... Is 300 ' to long for chem hose? ... Thanks for the input
