Sending bypass water to grass?
David O'Connell Jr. replied to MMI Enterprises's question in Residential Pressure Washing
We are in Florida and NEVER have a hot water problem bypassing to the tank. Don't worry about it. If you have a float valve that adds water while you using water then the water is going to be replaced with fresh "cooler" water. Go with a tank about 100 gallons or so. It takes a lot of bypass to heat water. BTW what is the GPM of your machine? <------that really dictates the tank size -

Real difference between 4 and 5 GPM?
David O'Connell Jr. replied to Peak Mobile Wash's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
One of our machines was a 5.5 and we went to an 8.5. I wish that we switched sooner. Night and day. NO COMPARRISION. You'll need a float tank with what ever you choose. That being said, why not go with the biggest pump possible? (Budget allowing) We rarely drive with water, so the weight problem doesn't really apply to us. (We have an NPR) Driving with water is a pain and causes a lot of wear and tear if not necessary. Here you can't qualify with a machine for anything less than 6 gpm for a lot of bids. Keep what you have and get that 8gpm. -
