+1 at the top and far away end for me - close to the edge so the bypassing water just 'sheets' down the side of the tank which minimises the air bubbles even further when the level is very low. Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

I call this "The importance of being filtered". Especially relevant the first day after you cut a few holes in your tank... Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

Still struggling through the end of the worst (most snow) winter we've had for a few... Keep telling myself "just one more week, one more week..." lol can't wait to get back to work! Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

black streaks on gutters! what do you use to clean them with?
cameronqueen replied to all star pressure washing's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Absolutely! Yet again managing customer expectations and having 'the talk' with them about suspect looking gutters before you even start is pretty vital IME... easy to end up out of pocket otherwise, just to try and make a customer happy  Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android -
I asked you several times what the condition of each of the machines was so that you'd look beyond their specs on paper and start asking the sellers some questions! This might have saved you some time and gas running around but oh well... sounds like you made the right decision in the end and I'm happy things worked out for you :) Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

Sounds like a Comet pump if it's Italian Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

What brand is the pump on that direct drive machine, the one that's for sale? Also what does the conditions look like for both machines, any big difference in how much abuse (sorry, but I mean work) they've suffered through? Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

I agree on the 500,just hope you get some hours out of it before its done.... Make sure you see it running (obviously lol) but also a good idea to take a quick connect pressure gauge with you if you have/can get one... Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

It won't be comparable to a belt driven or gear driven rig for reliability or longevity.... but you can't really go wrong with that engine for minimal problems while you put in work and save $ for your next, more upscale machine  Engine is only one half of the puzzle though, even more important to try and get the best pump you can afford. All your really find off the shelf on a gx390 (13hp) is a max of 4gpm and 4000psi but that should do ok for starting out, as long as your not planning on taking on any projects that are too crazy! A machine like I'm describing is what I would say is a good half way house between the kind of home depot machine I'm guessing you've been using up til now and the full on pro rig that you'll probably want to aim for a year or 2 down the line Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

If you can afford a decent direct drive... Like a Honda gx390 powered 4gpm machine (comet, AR or similar pump) then that will do you for a while... obviously if you can afford to go to the 'next level' of belt driven machines right now then don't think twice :) Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

+1...I know because I started the same way. Seems cheap at the time but a higher grade machine more than pays for itself in the reduced stress of less breakdowns and missed work! Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android

Tapatalk--Does it really make a difference?
cameronqueen replied to John T's question in The Club House
It is pretty indispensable on a smart phone I find. I would imagine it's not so useful or essential on a tablet I had a BlackBerry before (which was good for email but hopeless for anything else) and i took the plunge and got Tapa for it expecting it to make viewing the forums much easier. Imagine my disappointment when it didn't work... AT ALL. Tried to get a refund through the appworld but was out of time. I left a review on the app page saying it didn't work for me and I got a series of offensive, explicit emails back from their 'support team'! Well that really p*ssed me off (obviously) to the point I nearly didn't buy it for my Samsung but now I'm really glad I did as it works perfectly! Couldn't believe their response to my review though, pretty incredibly unprofessional from the developers of such a mainstream app :banghead: Sent from my Galaxy S3 Android
