  1. Hello all,

thanks for all the advise. I'll stick with the ALL WASHED UP. I really like the way Ken phrased it. The more I think about it the more I think it will stand out more when advertising amongst other pressure washers. I will play with the colors and look of the name until I get it just right. Having the TM behind the name makes it look professional. I will have to research how to trademark a name. Again thanks for all your replies.

  2. ALL WASHED UP

    Exterior Cleaning Contractors

    Helllo all,

Oh great, I am now second guessing my second guess. It is interesting to see how changing the back end of the name makes it look different. I have alway liked ALL WASHED UP but was wondering if it will bring negativity or make it more memorable. I also like ALL WASH PRESSURE CLEANING but it seems SAFE. I would like to stand out amongst other pressure washer in a customers eye. Again I wonder if it makes it look like a nonserious company.

    Hey Mr. Ken Fenner,

You wont ask for rights to my company when I grow BIG by using your idea, will ya? :lgbounces

    Celeste,

I all ready have plans for a couple sparkles on my company name and logo.

Iwill post it when it is ready.

    thanks

    Florin

  3. Hello all,

First of all I thank you for all that have posted on this site. It gives a guy like me that is new to this profession a priceless source of information and inspiration. Let me get to the point. My dilema is, I am ready to register my company name with the state but need opinions on the name I have chosen. ALL WASHED UP PRESSURE CLEANING. I am second guessing myself on the all washed up part because of the alternative meeting that it has. I thank you in advance for any advise.

    Thanks,

    Florin

ALL WASHED UP PRESSURE CLEANING or

    ALL WASHED PRESSURE CLEANING or

    ALL WASH PRESSURE CLEANING

  4. Thanks to all who have replied. Great information. I am in the getting my ducks in a row stage so I could start my business right. I will have my equipment, license, and insurance and my first stages of marketing by the end of this month. I will research more on having a CCB and what it involves so I can get bonded as well.

Larry, I thank you for the offer to call and email. I will definately do so. I will get as much info on my own as to not waste too much of your time first.

  5. My plans are to to do mostly residential. Although I will try to get commercial accounts in the future to establish a steady non seasonal income source. In your experience does being bonded heavily persuade a possible customer to pick your company over the competition or is it just a extra protection for your company.

  6. Hello all,

I've been looking thru the yellow pages and service page in the newspaper and it seems most pressure cleaning businesses are bonded. Is this a state requirement or is it a way to keep up with the competion but it is not required. If it is required is it costly? Thanks in advance for all your help.

  7. By not including the roof, wont that give the house bad curb appeal if the roof is all covered with mold and moss? I would guess if a homeowner decides he needs their house cleaned they will do all of the house and pay whatever it takes to do the entire house, but have any of you run in to the situation where they will not pay extra. Do you refuse to do the job so you wont get a bad name in the neigborhood or just do what is asked and get what you get.

  8. Hello all,

Just wanted to say thanks for this site an all who has given their business wisdom. I have been lurking around on a daily basis since last September when I came to the decision that starting my own business is a must. I've done most of my homework on what I need for equipment, chems, insurance, licensing, advertising, for the successful startup of the business, although I keep learning something new everyday on this site. I will be financialy ready for startup in about a couple of months. Again thanks for all of your help.
