Not to turn this thread away from the music but.....Thank you Al Gore for being out in front on this one (The environment)................I could be wrong but I have a feeling he may anounce his run for the presidency at some point..It's just a feeling I have....He has never come out and said he wouldn't run and I think he is still miffed about the 2000 election rip-off (decided by the supreme court) which was bull s#&T !!!......I think his stock is very high if he decides to run for president... He is way out in front on environmental issues....People are worn out over this war and need a new and more positive direction to go in....I think environmental concerns is a perfect format for this nation and the world to move towards and it will help us globally in the eyes of the world if we were the leader on global issues...Remember Bush shunned the world at Kyoto....I also think the young voters of america will lean heavily towards Gore after this Live earth showcase of his position regarding the warming of the planet...Don't forget his movie An Inconvienient Truth......People want a president with a more altruistic outlook on the world and I think if Al Gore annouces his run for the white house the american people will welcome him with open arms......We are worn out from eight years of lies, deception and loss of respect around the world......The world needs a uniter at this time...and I think Al Gore is that man.............................Thats just my take on things...Don't tell anyone.............I could be dead wrong................Also.......Joni Mitchell is the bomb...lolo YAZ Stephen Andrews Power Washing

I applied some Ready Seal to a Mahogany deck on Tuesday...Finished up around 2:30 and the deck looked gorgeous........We got torrential rain for a few hours late that night and now the deck looks washed out...The Mahogany is so tight grained that I guess the Ready Seal didn't stand a chance.....Will a light re-application with RS solve the problem?.............. I've been using the shurline 18" for a month or so and it is a joy to work with...I do three boards at a time and each dip into the bucket gives me a run of anywhere from 6' to 10' depending on how thirsty the deck is.....I can do a 20x40 deck in an hour or so....It cuts in pretty well too...If the stain doesn't fill in the grooves as well as I like then I simply go crossways quickly and the stain fills in nicely....I use Ready Seal................Now if someone has a great way of doing spindles, short of spraying them then please let me know...Spindles always make the job last too long..........I love the Shurline... Thanks fellow homeboy from the great "Garden State".....I think the before pics show how bad the deck had become with lots of rotting and splitting...There are spots just as you step up to the upper deck where the rotting is at it's worst...you will be able to see the ground below in a few years if not replaced......Pic#3 shows the PITA stain (unknown)......... Thanks Shane...This deck had a bunch of replacement boards added due to rot..There are lots more boards that should be replaced...Some are rotted at the ends..Some boards would not give up the black even after a strong citrolic bath while others where like new wood.....Rick has some photos showing the mold growing on it.....I also had some areas that looked like circular tea stains.........Rick, post the rest of the pics so I can get some feedback from other woodies.....I'm sure I could have done something better.......... Sweet looking finished product Rick...That deck screams "use me"...It's incredibly warm and inviting...It was a "hot dog and hamburger" deck...Now it's a "wine and cheese deck"....I'm sure you have a repeat customer for life with those results.... What is my best approach to strip and seal this type wood?...The Penofin is a couple years old and the deck looks really blackened from this sealer......Otherwise, the wood is like new.....I recommended Aussie Timber oil but no color choices where given...Any suggestions on stripping, and a good product and color?.........Sorry, no photos yet..... My biggest gripe would be speed of delivery, or lack of it...Ordering at 1 pm on friday and receiving product in the afternoon on the following friday just doesn't cut it with me.....Another problem is a company who ships thru only one carrier....Most carriers will deliver packages to my door but UPS won't unless I'm there to sign the receipt.. If I'm not there to sign it messes things up for me....Sometimes They will accept a signed note on my door..Sometimes not.....Oh yea, I like to have the option of next day shipping in an emergency and some suppliers won't do it.......
