Whoa...22K for the body alone! That's a lot of cheddar. I can get a whole trugreen truck under 10K. Mine was 4700 and I have about 1000 in parts into it.

Thank You so much John. I knew sites like that existed, just didn't know what they were.
That truck isn't actually mine. It's the same style. Mine isn't wrapped yet. Not until I get to Virginia in July.

I am looking to put another truck on the road. I am very specific about what I want. I want a used Isuzu NPR trugreen truck. That is what I am running now.
I am looking for one in decent shape. Yes, I have checked ebay and the truck papers. The one I want is the one with the rear hatch door and the small door on the passenger side, for access to hose reels, and another door for the front compartment on the passenger side.
If you know of anyone who has one available, please let me know. If y'all could check out your local craigslist by searching Isuzu or Trugreen or Chemlawn, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Yep, here is the one I carry in the tool box.

They are like 20 bucks for a digital meter at Lowes. Its a great tool to have, even if you only need it once a year.

Just wait until the moisture is under 20%.
I am facing the same thing. I finished a deck yesterday and it wasn't supposed to rain until tomorrow...well its been pouring for the last 4 hours. Yay. I will be checking on it Thursday. Hopefully it had enough dry time. Spring is very bittersweet.

This is going just where I expected it to go.

Have fun, sport.

Here's the thing, kid...You are on sites created for professional contractors to discuss matters related to building and maintaining a profitable business, while providing a quality, professional service to customers. You are on here asking about which consumer quality machine to buy, to help you run a "summer job". Are you paying taxes? Do you have a DBA or a business license? Do you have insurance? Or are you just under charging and over working and taking business away from people who work hard to run legal businesses?
Long story short...don't get butthurt when you get snapped at by real business owner.
Sorry guys (and girls) I've been fixing hack jobs today. Including a composite deck that got ripped up by a neighborhood kid. I'm angry at hacks today.

Man....My buddy Ted already gave you all the advice you need on this topic over on lawnsite. In fact, he spoon fed you exactly what you needed to know. You didn't thank him or even acknowledge that he helped you out. Then you come on another forum and ask the same question a few days later....Kids!

I did a nude calendar which seems to be working very well .
Thanks. I can't un-think that now.
To make the phone ring, we have a front page ad in a weekly circular paper. I also beat feet through neighborhoods 1-2 times per week passing out brochures and flyers. Lots of referrals this year too. I have had a few (maybe 10) that said they saw our youtube commercial.

We will be caught up tomorrow. Like Jim, wind was beating us up. We've had a nice few days though and have been banging them out. Sun up to sun down. I will take a day off on Sunday, but this season is off to an incredible start! I wish you all the best. May you all have a profitable and safe season!

This is the fourth year.
I'm going to do a couple test spots, but I have a feeling I will be walking away from this one.

I was called out to do an estimate today on a 20 year old PT Pine deck and a privacy fence. Four years ago the home owner hired someone else to wash and stain it. Well, this person did a hack job. The home owner didn't have a choice in stain color (and hates it) and the "contractor" that did it, sprayed it on and didn't even clean up the drips. There are drips everywhere. Luckily the home owner kept a pale of the stain. It's an acrylic by sherwin williams. I am posting a pic of the content label.
The customer is hoping for a strip and re-stain. I told him that I would come back out next week to do a couple of test areas and that I would let him know at that time if this is a job that I am willing to take on. I'm thinking it will be a nightmare.
The stain is starting to fail and peel up in certain areas, but is set well in other areas.
Is this going to be a job that requires a soy type stripper or a stripper cream? If you need any other info, please ask.

Shane, I really have to thank you. I have added butyl based degreasers to my mix, but its always a premixed product. Thanks a million times for posting that. I have it bookmarked and will be ordering next week. I have to say that your advice, both in forums and on the phone, have made me money. I truly appreciate your help.

Thank you, Beth. It still needs improvement, but it is much nicer than my local competitors sites.
If you guys see anything that you think I should fix, please let me know.

Hey guess what.....IT'S DONE! Check it out!

I got it, bud. Thanks though. I just need to do it. I have been so focused on other things over the last few weeks, that it has slipped from the "things to get done asap" file.
12 hours until my flight. I hate flying. Stupid long lines and intrusive TSA.

hahaha yeah. I have been pretty busy. Just got back in town and have to leave again Friday to go get a new work truck. I really need to focus on this thing!

Power outages have been making it hard to roll out the new site.
Getting there.

We've been losing power off and on for the last 3 days. It's 11°F and feels like 0° with the wind chill. Tonight's low will be -5°F without the wind chill. We have about 2' of snow on the ground. Before this last storm that dropped a foot, snow total so far was 173.5". Won't be done until April. Last year it snowed into May.
Been a rough one.

I plan on attending. This will be my first convention. Does anyone bring their rigs? I'm thinking about just driving out, but my wife's SUV is much more comfy than a work truck.
