You are only required to pay yearly as a Sole! Corp and S Corp are required to pay quarterly on the dates that you choose. My best advise would to go buy a few books or go to the library! Invest in some type of accounting software etc! I was an accountant in the Marine Corps for four years before this dance! True also that you only need to pay taxes if you make a profit. As a Sole, it's basically Profit - all expenses = taxable income! Use Turbo Tax Pro Business and you can really take controll of your taxes! I buy all business stuff on my business cards and get statements that make book keeping a synch! Anyway, hope this helps, let me know if you have any other ??

Wood Tux Tint Formulas
Mike Stahmer posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
For those that use wood Tux, can you give me your formulations for different colors such as W. Red Cedar, Redwood and Cedar. I was experimenting with a gallon but realized how touchy the tinting was. So far all emails to the manufacturer and calls have not been returned to me and don't really like that to much. If I am going to use this product, the customer service is pretty bad as far as getting this info and feel like I am getting left out in the dark over here. I know evryone uses little pipes or something like that. WHat is the accual volume of a pipe. -

Masking tools for sealing wood
Mike Stahmer replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
If it can get stain on it, it will! We mask similar. I usually run a strip of tape around house followed by painters plastic taped high about 7 feet. Where theres drips, theres painters oil paper. I use the card board also. Mask, mask mask and more mask. If you dont, you will start to hate your job. We aslo cover vehicles in immediate area with plastic just in case. Mask, mask mask and more! -
wood tux and dressing up your wood.
Mike Stahmer replied to Henry B.'s question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I will say I had my first experience with Wood Tux and just from the start, it has more penetrating pigment than any product I have ever seen including ReadySeal, all TWP's and other top sealers. I have been doing this along time and have tried everything. I can tell by pigment alone that it will hold up better than anything. "hopefully". -
Wood Tux Tint Formulas
Mike Stahmer replied to Mike Stahmer's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Rich and Seymore I understand this! I just want cedar, w red cedar and redwood! My main point was that there should be some uniformity in making colors whatever they may be! It seems like everyone has these pipes etc. I was told I can't buy them yet. I am using universal colorants! I'll figure it out! Also, when thinning the Wood Tux, has anyone noticed that it thickens itself up after a while. It did to me! If I keep having to thin it on a big deck, will this affect the product? -

That sounds great. All my wood over here is redwood! I would really appreciate some recipies so I can offer a color chart and be accurate every time. -

Thanks Ken, I found out about the black quickly. I basically ruined a gallon with one squirt to many! My point really being though for the price of the product, this kind of experimenting should be done by Wood Tux! I don't really wish to be experimenting for a desired color. For instance, you go to get paint, there are color charts and there you go. I want to offer colors to customers that are the same and don't think I can uniformly do that by guessing and wasting products for testing. In a case I had this week, I used a blended experiment color that came out well! I needed another gallon or so and had to make that gallon look like the 5ver mix. It was very tough and time consuming to do this. Also, the color was a little off because of the non exact science to it. All recipies available are "pipette" recipies. What I really need are "ml recipies". This way If I need 2 gallons of redcedar I simply add the right amounts each time. This way, I can use a syringe that will inject the perfect amount everytime with no " add alittlethis and that and test it kind of deal". I like the product and rich look and think these recommendations are well founded for better success of uniformity and usability of Wood Tux! -

I am about to receive my first 5ers of Wood Tux and wanted to know about tinting it. Can I use universal colorants? How much per gallon and what formulas does anyone already use? Thanks Mike Stahmer Pro-Restore www.mytibercare.com "San Diego's Premier Refinishers" -

Russell, Sounds good. I talked to Sunbrite and they don't offer the tint yet. Can I purchase directly from you? I need the tints asap and would like to know how I can expedite the process? Thanks -
An Acrylic Nightmare..kids don't try this at home
Mike Stahmer replied to PressurePros's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I have done a few decks that were similar. However, 2 hours with a drum sander and finish sanding took care of the job much quicker. I applaud your efforts though, must have been nasty!
