  1. this year sucks!

Had a house to wash last week and as I was getting everything ready, noticed that I was out of my F-13 (gutter cleaner) Well, I started to panic because this house had really bad streaked gutters. Not enough time to order and wait two weeks for shipment to come in so what did I do? I read the grime scene forum and saw where Jeff W. posted a piece on using Castrol Super Clean. Tried it and it worked great and saved money at the same time. So thanks Jeff and thanks Grime Scene.
  2. I have some flatwork scheduled for tomorrow, so I called the customer to confirm and while I was on the phone with her she asked that I wash her deck while I was there. Not wanting to tell her that I dont have what I need to do the job, I say, sure I'll take care of it. My question is...... All I have at this time is safe wash(granules) from sunbrite supply. Can I mix bleach with this or do you have any ideas in order to get a good wash. She just wants a basic clean. All help is appreciated.
  3. If anyone has examples of bid and contract forms and dont mind sharing, could you please email them to me. I am looking for something for restaurants and convenience stores. Thanks csoutdoorservices@yahoo.com

  5. good setup??

John with Talcott pressure washing, I know you posted this about a month ago, but I have a couple of water totes I will let go cheap. I have a 275 gallon for $50 and a 325 gal for $70. If you still need one and are interested give me a call. 706-975-0608
  6. Hello to all. I am new to the business. Only a couple of months since I started my own part time business. Things are going great so far. I have done several houses and also fleets that have turned out great. Customer was happy anyway. I have got my first deck cleaning coming up soon and I am kinda nervous. I have read so much on this forum and have learned alot but need help on deck cleaning. I did practice on my deck and was not impressed. In order to get it clean, I feel that I had to get too close with the pressure and now I can see uneven streaks in places as well as the wood looks furred in others. I was using zeps deck wash. Is there something you guys would suggest trying or doing that may help me on this one? How much actual pressure should I have to use if using a good cleaner? Thanks again.
  7. Favorite House was Mixtures

I have just ordered powerhouse to try as my housewash. My question is, I've heard that it is good on vinyl siding and have also heard about things that can be mixed with it to be more effective on an earlier thread. Things such as .5 gal powerhouse, .5 gal 12%, 4 gal water, touch of wash and wax. What effects does this have on siding made of brick and also plants? Where can I buy the wash and wax? I am fairly new to the business, so therefore I am doing alot of experimenting with different chemicals to see what works best for me. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
  8. New to this

I am new to the business and so far, everything is going well. I have to give a lady an estimate on a house that I am not quite sure how to price. The house is about 1800 sq, very tall. All is brick except for the boxing all the way around and the eves on each end, which is vinyl. All she wants cleaned is the vinyl including the whole porch. also a light wash on a 10x10 deck. The houses in this subdivision are very close so I am concerned about overspray. Can anyone help on pricing something like this and pointers to doing this with houses so close together?
  9. your .02 please

I have done alot of reading, more reading, and then more. I have come to the conclusion that I must have an x jet to get to those high reach places when washing a house. I do have a question though. Which do you guys prefer, the m5 xjet or the original? I am new to the business and have learned alot from everyone on this forum. I really do appreciate it. Thanks
  10. just wondering

When washing a house, especially the high areas, what is the best or easiest way to do this. A step ladder with a couple of extension wands attached? Or a 18-24 foot telescopic wand?
  11. just wondering

M5 x jet or the original
  12. I am just starting my pressure washing business, and ran into one problem. Everyone I talk to has told me that when pulling water from my 250 gal tank. gravity fed would be all I need. No pump would be needed. Well I hooked a small hose to the tank and pressure washer, and made sure the washer was sitting below the tank. NOTHING. Will gravity feed always work or will I need a pump. Is there something that I am not doing right. Any help is appreciated.
  13. Hello to all! I am new to this sight as well as the pressure washing business. I am in the process of starting a part-time business and am in the learning stages. I have washed my house and a relatives house for the practice. I have done alot of research and want to give it a shot. I want to specialize in houses, decks, tractor-trailor, etc. I bought a 3000 psi, 2.7 gpm pressure washer.
