  1. This weeks project (UK)

Roger, I was just over in Stevenage last week. I saw a lot of things that needed to be cleaned down that way. I was there for job training and wishing that I had a pressure washer with me. Of course I wouldnt have known the regulations there nor where I was going. The whole driving on the opposite side of the road thing 'bout drove me nuts. I narrowly missed getting run over on multiple occasions due to looking the wrong way to cross the traffic. Take care over there and keep cool. It was different with no Air Conditioning. I never thought that I would stay in an approx $700K (USD) townhouse that had no method of cooling in it. Anthony
  2. How does the downstream injector do with long hoses. I found that with 2-300 feet of hose it would not activate the normal injectors. I had heard about some of them working with that length of hose but have not tried one. Thanks, Anthony
  3. Wanted water truck 2000gal tank

Try Atkins Truck Sales out of Blairs, Va. Not sure what part of NC you are in but they are located about an 1.5 hours North of Greensboro, NC on HWY 29.
  4. Richard, I sent you an email through this site
  5. I work a full time job and have been doing some washing on the side for the last seven years......the best work comes from a local lake where some of the people have second homes....they dont seem to mind the extra expense to maintain them. Just making a comment about some of the house rich...money poor. I would like to start doing the roof cleaning around here....bunch of people need it done.
  6. Heck.....I wish that I could get that kind of money around here. You go out and price a house wash at $*** for a $125K house and people will look at you like you are crazy....much less pricing a deck. I think a lot of these people are the house poor kind of people.
  7. water toting

I show a picture of the trailer with the water tanks, especially if I am in the county areas with wells. Then I ask the customer if they want me to bring water and not chance the well drying up (my well is 700ft) and that is a lot of money to scare people of being dry. I can fill up for about $4 or so per 1000 gallons. I can normally pass it off for $10-$20 per customer. If I am doing doublewide mobile homes then I can do about 2-3 homes per load and that takes care of the extra expense. Heavy to haul though.
  8. Leaf stain in slabs - how to shift?

Here is the back of a school that I did using 12.5% and the x-jet at a 4-1 ratio. The previous pw'er had tried it cutting to 40-1 which didnt work and I ended up on the job. If it doesnt insert then try this website address www.sugartreekennels.com/powerkleen it is the second photo.
  9. mixing buckets

Jon, I found the webise of www.usplastic.com that has the barrels that I had been looking for. They have a 8, 15, and 30 gallon open head poly drum that would suit your needs. I have used these before and the big open top makes it easier to mix the product and get it out when you get low. I use these for hotboxing paint together. Nothing I hate more than to paint the inside of a house and find different colors from wall to wall due to the paint supply company tinting. Hope this helps. Kinda pricey but reusable. Anthony
  10. mixing buckets

I have seen 15 gallon barrels with the open top design but they were metal. Not my favorite thing to mix in. I have seen the 30 gal open head plastic, may have to check on a 15 gal in that design. I work in a chemical facility and will see if we have access to some of the catalogs.
  11. Respirators ???

No problem Beth. Just figured that I would pass it on. Also remember that certain chemicals will irritate the eyes and watch for absorption through the skin. We have one chem on site that looks like water, smells like water, but is lethal. The main problem is that when mixed with water to wash off it creates sulfuric acid.
  12. bug coccoon

Try to put the chems on it that area good and strong. I wash a local bank that has the dry-vit around the top of the building and they leave the lights on at night, plus being beside the river doesnt help. The bugs may be worse where you are but I can wash and do no good....I apply 12.5% sodium hypochlorite with the x-jet (no orrifice) or if I run out I will use just store bought bleach. http://www.sugartreekennels.com/powerkleen This is not the worst part of the building but a good before and after that I somewhat merged for your viewing.
  13. Respirators ???

Just remember that the life span is not very long on the cartridges and that there are multiple kinds of them. I work in chemical factory and during training we are reminded to discard any cartridge that we use 8 hours after it is removed from the packaging except dust cartridges. Most of them will absord moisture out of the air and become no good or clogged up even if you open them, use 10 minutes and put up. Please remember that they can be your best protection or your last and do your inhalation and exhalation test every time that you use it.
  14. pressure washer outputs?

If you continue that practice......you will damage your pump from cavitation. Any time that you are starving the pump you can be damaging the internals. I have had painting contractors call me, due to my water tanks, and I would sub that from them just so they could finish the job.
  15. I carry 2-300' feet of pressure hose and love the x-jet.......though I do need to order some more proportioners or adjust accordingly to mixtures in the bucket. Love the x-jet for its On/Off capabilities and not having 25 minutes to clear the rinse water up.
  16. Has Any1 Used This?

What strength sodium hodryxide are you using and how are you cutting it. I work in a chemical factory and we have the 50% and lord knows dont get it on you. We also have potassium hydroxide in 45% and flake (about 90%) strength and they do well for cleaning concrete floors with some TSP. As previously stated why would you put a major degreaser on shingles that are held together by an oil based product? Just curious. Anthony
