  1. Ready Seal Stain?

I am not too sure about decks, but This year, I have been mixing Dark Red with Dark Brown on fences and I get alot of happy customers. From what I seen, darker colors usually last longer than lighter colors. Once in a while I use natural cedar. I really don't care too much about Light Brown, I only used it once and I did not like it, however my customer was thrilled. You will need to make your own samples and see what most of your customer likes and if you see that some colors are not selling, just get rid of them and only sell what most people like. Also, I personally do not referr anyone to the company that I buy my supplies from, because the customers are clever, and will call the supplier and shop arround for other contractors to see who is the lowest bidder.

  5. looking at their website: ZEROVOC is a water-based, solvent free, super hydrophobic, self-reactive siliconate HYBRID protective water sealer. ZEROVOC combines the latest advances in the water sealer technology with tried and proven silicate technology creating a protective water sealer that is unmatched and unsurpassed at withstanding the elements. ZEROVOC is a “one-of-a-kind” protective water sealer and is the result of years of research based upon advanced reactive siliconate technology. It is in a class by itself and differs greatly from other water repellents and water sealers on the market. seem like pure BS :lgbonk: I never liked to put water base sealer on wood especially acrylic!!!!!

  7. I only stain fences, What I do is have my guy brush the sides and anything close to the house to avoid overspray. Has anyone used this product? Hudson Stain & Sealer Applicator 1.5 Gallon, Model# 68992 |Portable Sprayers | Northern Tool + Equipment I am wondering if its easier than brushing. Let me know Thanks. I hardly overspray, I am just looking for an easier way to do the job. Thanks!!! Israel
  8. This is for the ones that have used the deckster and the shurflo. This question is reguarding fence staining. Which one of the 2 products causes less overspray and why? I know that some of you sell these 2 products, but unfortunately I rather buy it here local and save on the shipping cost. I just want your professional opionions. Thanks
  9. John Kerry - Did I say that?!?!

It doesen't matter who you are or what part of government you represent democrat or republican, you do not insult the military. I really think that John Kerry pretty much put his Foot in his A$$!!!:lgangry: I don't care if he was trying to slam the Bush administration. He should of used another analogy instead of putting down the men and women who serve this country. He was the lesser of the 2 evils when he was running for president. I don't think that he has a chance to even try running again.:angryfire Israel

  14. I usually spray over it and when I am done, I come back with dishwahing soap and water and wipe it off. Make sure it does not dry. Since Readyseal is simi transparent, by spraying over it, you really can't tell if its been sprayed on. I try to wipe off just in case. *******has anyone left semitransparent stain on hardware on a fence?*******
  15. Thanks Beth, I try my best at everything that I do and I know that I am still a newbie, but still got alot of learning to do. Israel:lgkick:

  19. Yoy can go to www.readyseal.com and speak to Mike or Greg which are wonderful people to deal with, and they will direct you to a distributor in your area. There is another product that is good too which Baker's Grey Away which you can get with Shane (Seymore) he will hook you up. If you look at some of his pictures, they look like it came from a magazine, its a great piece of art. I have seen both products and they are great. Everyone has diferent products that they use and depending on your preferences. :lgsideway

  22. As a matter of fact Baker's gray away is manufactured in Plano, Texas its a great product I have been to their facility. My fence has Baker's gray away from a year ago and it still looks good. The only problem is that they are in Plano, and since I am part timer they are too far away for me to drive and they are not open on weekends and they close at 4:00. Shipping is too expensive. Yea I have spoken to Shane, great person and he is very knowledgeable in this industry and he did my sister n law's house about 1 1/2 year ago and it looks great. :lgbounces ....
