restaining

I stain most decks with TWP, 2 coats wet on wet. I have been in business for 3 years and am getting ready to put another coat on some decks this coming year as they may be fading after the 3 year period. My question is how many times do some of you experienced deckers RESTAIN before you do a total strip again and do you wash prior to the restaining or just sweep, sand, etc.

I am using TWP 100 series. I spray 2 coats, wet on wet to all deck surfaces.
