Guy B 70 Report post Posted January 23, 2010 What size nozzles are you running? How many feet of hose is on the machine? What hp is the motor? Motor should be running 3400 rpm.
jgotterb 14 Report post Posted January 23, 2010 The nozzles are 6.0. 100 feet of hose, 16hp vanguard, and how would I find out how fast the motor is running? Is it possible to put a tach on it?

Guy B 70 Report post Posted January 23, 2010 You can get a tach/ hour meter combo from any small engine shop. With 16hp you may only get 3000psi 5gpm. I have an Alkota 20hp 3500 psi 5gpm it has the same pump. Is this a 12volt unit or 120volt with a generator? Might want to consider dropping nozzle size to #
jgotterb 14 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 12 volt. So dropping the size of the nozzle will increase the psi?
Guy B 70 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Yes, this will increase your psi.
jgotterb 14 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Thanks Guy. I'm going to find a tach, and order a set of #5 nozzles. Thanks again for the help.
