DavidStoneking 14 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 I just bought a house that has a cedar fence that has some kind of redwood stain. Whoever did the previous stain job left runs, sags, just a poor job. what is the best course of action to make this right so that it can be resealed?
TNRoofCleaner 16 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 Stripping it is the only logical choice unless you really want to sand.... LOL I get my stain stripper (you have to be specific here) from Southern Stain and Seal just google them. Mix is comparable to HD-80 but comes premeasured for 4 gallon mixes. Just rip the bag open and keep going.
DavidStoneking 14 Report post Posted March 3, 2011 Thanks, I got in touch with Southern. Said it was a three step process. As long as the stripper works, i'm in business.
