RTheating 15 Report post Posted August 23, 2011 Hello Everyone, I am new to this site and industry. I own and operate a heating , air conditioning & duct cleaning business in Alberta, Canada & I would like to get into commercial kitchen exhaust hood cleaning. The reason for this is my mother runs a very large cleaning business 6.5 hours from where I live and they subcontract out kitchen exhaust cleaning work and I have the opportunity to take over the contract. I will be going to school / training at Phil Acklands in Texas in the next few months. I have to be certified here to perform this work. I probably won't be going after much work here locally, so my equipment wont be being used full time. The places I will be doing are camps for oilfield companies. They are done 2 times a year 6 months apart. Around September & March. Total work time each time is about 5 days worth, 8-10 hrs a day. This is a fair guesstimate. My main questions is, should I be going with a gas or electric pressure washer? I will have access to hot water at each place the cleaning is being done, and this is approved by them. I have a cargo trailer that will haul my equipment already and I have insurance and liability covered. I do not mind spending extra money to buy a quality pressure washer that will last, but like I said, it won't be used as much as many of you use your own on this forum. Please specify either hot or cold gas or electric and which brand. Thanks! Tom Raba R/T Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. Red Deer Heating & Air Conditioning | RT Heating & Air Ltd.
