Dusty new Pavers

Question

A guy on my block just had his whole yard done In Pavers and there is a lot of dust.

Can new Pavers be power washed? I don't think it's a good idea to use a surface cleaner right?

Can chemicals be used?

If it's dust, why not just let the rain take care of it? But yes they can be washed. Use very low pressure so you don't wash the sand mix out of the cracks. I wouldn't use a surface cleaner if they're new and no need for chemicals.

Sorry man, beg to differ. If you want to wash th ''dust'' off you'll have to use a s/c otherwise you will leave lines all over them from using a lance. Drop your pressure down & just take your time, bearing in mind that it will take a lot longer to clean at the lower pressure. You could use a very mild detergent. It will all help to lift the dust off the pavers. If thier going to be sealed, they'll have to be pressure cleaned anyway.

Depends what kind of joint sand was used. If it was polymeric you might be seeing poly glaze if they didn't sweep off well enough.

And if you use a sc and its regular sand you will need to resand them all
