Defurring questions

I notice people mentioning 3M pads for defurring. The ones I received from the Deck Guide were not 3m. Are the 3M pads better? These tore and wore down very quickly. Just ordered some Osbornes from Mcmaster-Carr hopefully the will last longer. I purchased 20 pads to do the 3000 Sq Ft deck Im working on and they didnt even make it to the end.

They make a rotary attachment for an angle grinder. Once you use one of those, you will never go back to those easily ripped pads. Maybe someone will chime in with a link.
