marco 14 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 I just purchased a new whip hose for my machine. So when I tried to put the hose on it didn't fit.(thread to small) So I took off a brass piece that was hooked up to the unloader and it had a spring and ball bearing .Does the spring and the ball bearing belong attached to the unloader (its a tiny spring and I lost it ) Can I hook the hose up without that piece? mick m 19 Report post Posted July 1, 2013 NO! It wont function at all. The spring is there to push the ball bearing up, to divert the flow. Find that spring!!
Badzuk 16 Report post Posted July 3, 2013 Sounds like the spring you lost is part of the check valve built into the output of the unloader. It will not function properly without the check valve, it will cycle alot in bypass. The check valve keeps the pressure in the hose instead of letting it bleed back into the unloader.
