Trace 14 Report post Posted March 13, 2005 Ordering an 7x16 enclosed trailer next week and can't decide if i want doors or ramp, like the idea of rear doors, but also like the idea of a ramp door for loading and unloading, But with the ramp you need aleast 7 ft more of parking space and a lot of times it just isn't there, would appreciate you thoughts and ideas on this. svp07 14 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Go with the barn doors and build yourself a small ramp (or buy one) that you, one person, can move around. Hang it on the back of one of the doors; make it as narrow as the widest thing you plan to wheel on it and so it attaches securely to the trailer.
Aplus 525 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Trace....go with barndoors. The trailer isn't that high, and is not difficult to move load/unload equipment. The problems you mentioned are very true. Make sure to also order a side door.
Brian Keating 14 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Ditto Tony's post. The side door is a must.
Trace 14 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 ordered it today. Decided to go with the 14', w/Barn doors Due to the fact i have to back into a lot of driveways And some are not that long. Side door comes standard with Haulmark. Ordered the kodiak model Little heavier duty than the transport model. Thanks for your input.
