Anyone heard of Rymer

Question

My son, in Chicago, is having his deck cleaned and stained. Contractor looked at deck and said there was a surface stain on now, and was going to PW then apply a semi-trans called Rymer. Anyone heard of this?

Anyone in Chicago interested in looking at this job? He is in Wrigleyville. I want someone who wishes to do this correctly - i.e. strip stain and brighten prior to staining. If no one local is interested, I may go up myself and do, but this is a long trip for me. Thanks in advance.

I used Rymar's Natural Cedar on a new cedar deck 2 yrs.ago...looked like crap in a year and a half and this year looks about 4 yrs old. Some people think its great and maybe the darker tones hold up but I'm not using it again. Part of the reason is that it suggests you put on another coat 90 days after the first coat.(if my memory serves me correctly) this seems like just way too much trouble to sell. Basically the first wash/maintenance coat after 90 days. I have a brochure somewhere. I'll check but I think the info I gave is accurate.

Bill, we are in chicago....very familiar with wrigleyville, although we are northwest near O'Hare...... we primarily use TimberPro products to strip/brighten/neutralize and seal with Ready Seal.......we'll go look at it, anytime...............(as long as the cubs aren't playing at the time, nowhere to park).....email us, private message us or give us a call.....773 775 7234
