jennifer46 14 Report post Posted October 29, 2005 I have been doing residential cleaning for about 10 years. I want to branch out to small office cleaning. I do not have any employees at this point. Can anyone tell me about how to bid small office jobs? For example, if I clean a small office 2 or 3 times a week, would I charge by the hour? Help! Thanks. RJ Cleaning 14 Report post Posted December 2, 2005 you can start off with bidding by the hour. for example: what you put. say that office take about 3 hours to clean, your cleaning it 3 times per week, you could bid it like this. 3 hours X $25 X 3days X 4.33(4.33 weeks per month) = $974.25 per month so the formula would be hours X your price X Days in week X 4.33 = your monthly price.. as you get better you can then do it by Sq.ft. becasue then you will know the Sq.ft. per clean per hour. the Sq.Ft is different for different cleans. for example a school can be done 5000 per sq.ft per hour. office 3200 sq.ft per hour. then it go's by how much people and how much clutter and open space is in there . hope this helps Sign Rob www.rjcleaning.com
ROBGIO 14 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 I realize is almost a year later, but I just ran into your reply to another colleague on how to calculate for pricing on small office cleaning jobs. I do have one question concerning that, if I may ask. Concerning your calculation per sq ft... could you further explain that? So, say there's an office of 3000sq ft, then what would the per foot charge be and does it include wages, overhead and supplies on that fee? Thanks for your response, Rob
