flimmy 14 Report post Posted November 6, 2005 What % of the total bid is good for a sub to get ? I am the sub and know what the company charged the customer for the job. I am happy with what I was paid. The job took me 2 hrs and that included 1hr of travel and I made $200. The company is not in the business of washing but servicing the stuff I cleaned. The work is monthly and there is more than this one job. They had one of there service guys bring in his pwer from home and do it but they want to get away from that because they have too much service work now. btw I didn't need any chem.'s or hot water , just cold water rinse. Pams Pressure & Clean 64 Report post Posted November 6, 2005 Question: What % of the total bid is good for a sub to get ? Answer from Subcontractor: As much as I can get. Answer from General Contractor: As little as I can pay him. Answer that settles the deal: Whatever he will work for and be happy. Basically you have answered your own question, and I don't think there is a hard and fast power wash industry standard. In construction, I have seen ranges from 40% to 90% of the job go to a sub, and I suppose one could use those figures as a guide.
