Contractor shall supply a water-based solvent degreaser to be used at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, AL. The degreaser shall be coarse sprayed to soak, soften and emulsify heavy oils, greases and soils from disassembled army vehicles engine and body parts. The heavy oils, greases and soils shall be removed using steam clean. The degreaser shall be stored in a cylindrical steel pot at air pressure of about 30 PSI. Air operated manual spray shall be used for degreasing the parts. The degreaser shall be prior diluted if required and shall be safely handled as per Anniston Army Depot. After spraying, the parts shall be soaked for a minimum of 10-15 minutes prior to steam/hurricane cleaning and then shall be rinsed with fresh water as a final step of t he cleaning process. The product shall be used to degrease components including but not limited to the following types of parts: road wheel housings, idler arms, turbine and diesel engine and other engine parts. Government personnel shall evaluate the pe rformance of the product and determine if the product is acceptable for use. The degreaser cleaning shall not leave a visible film or residue on cleaned parts. The degreasing compound shall be furnished in 55 gallon non-returnable containers conforming t o 49 CFR, subchapter C. Drums shall be packaged, labeled and shipped in accordance with 49 CFR and 29 CFR. Material Safety Data sheets shall be supplied with all material shipped. This procurement is unrestricted. North American Industry Classification System Code is 325998, size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1©; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Proposals submitted must be in electronic forma t as stated in the solicitation.
