Sodium Percarbinate

Recommended Posts

I know the self-life of unopened containers is indefinite but as for opened containers I'm not sure. If I had to guess I would say it's pretty long. The chemical reaction doesn't happen until you add water. So, as long as you keep it dry is should last quit a long time. After mixed with water it is only good for about 7-8 hours.

Actually,

7-8 hours is way too long. 1-2 hours at best is realistic.

Sodium Percarbonate is actually best used immediately. Mix only what you need for each job. The chemical reaction and the resulting "fizzing" provides the cleaning power.

Mixing with warm water works best, you get better dilution.
