I did 2 decks over the weekend, and here is the coverage I got from Wood Tux and Cabots, #1 with the Wood Tux I got 100-150 sq ft per gallon, this was on 2 month old Pressure Treated Wood, and this was spraying 75 %
of the job, so all in all, wasnt bad the can says 175, but I guess that might be with brushing, or on brand new cedar....?
#2 Cabots, big difference.... THE can says 400 to 600 sq ft per gallon, not even close, maybe, and I mean maybe 175-200 sq ft per gallon, and that was with 75% hand brushing, so I will write the Cabot Company and ask them what they were smoking when they put this claim on their can....???
And also, since this is NOT TRUE... and that is how I quoted the job, I will ask to be reimbursed 50% of my money for the stain,...Although, it did make 20 year old badly neglected pressure treated wood look really good, I will keep you posted on how they respond...
