I am the "another guy" in Ant's post. Prior to last month. I had no web presence a yellowpages.com add and advertised with monthly postcards. Since the web page went live I landed the largest cleaning job we have ever done in less than 48 hrs after the site went live. They found us thru a google search for hood cleaning. the web page paid for itself for the next 8-10 years with one job in 48 hrs so it does work.

What's you vehicle of choice...and why?
Alexy replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I have a Ford E-350 diesel box truck for the majority of our work (KEC). I have a F250 4x2 ( gas) that has a Reading cap on the back that can do 99% of the work the box truck can do and can be parked ina city space with no CMV restrictions so it is very usefull in tight urban areas. We also have a enclosed 8x4 haulmark trailer with a electric machine in the back that works well and can be hooked up to the p/u to allow 2 jobs to be done at the same time if they are close together. -

On another note if you go to thier web page they link a few prominent cleaners and web pages on thier site Commercial & Residential Power / Pressure Washing Services - Serving the Denver Colorado Metro Area Since 2006 Might want to think about your association with them if they are not practicing good buisness ethics.

They go straight to the trash

When you write the letter be sure you write out exactly the amount due and when it needs to be to you. DO NOT ACCEPT a PARTIAL PAYMENT. When you do this you have then extended him credit to pay the bill and can not pursue the judgement in the same way. ( You can but it is much more involved). If you want a example of the letter I use PM'm me and I will e-mail it to you. I do commercial exhaust cleaning only so it is diffrent as far as who you are sueing ( a buisness as opposed to a person) and the judgement can be attached to a bank account their sales tax bill or state income tax returns. I have actually been luck I did this to a restaurant that closed and had a judgement against the corp for the amount. when they filed bankrupcy since my judgement was allready in place I was paid first and got my money . If you did not have your money by 12-31-08 you can write the bill off as a loss on you 2008 taxes but it must be documneted as both income and a loss to claim it.

Send him the bill and a demand letter giving 10 buisness days to pay the amount due or you will begin a civil suit against him. The letter needs to have your bill copy and needs to be sent registered mail retun recipt required ( will run about 13 dollars at the post office) The return is considered legal service to him of a debt owed and if he does not reply to it you then go to small claims court where you are licenced to do buisness and file a warrant in debt for the ammount in question. You will need to fill out the paperwork write out a bill of particulars ( what happened) and file it withthe court and pay fro the sheriff to serve it ( here in VA the filing is 35 dollars and the service is 25 dollars) ONCE SERVED IF HE DOES NOT PAY OR GO TO COURT ONCE THERE YOU CAN BE COMPENSATED NOT ONLY FOR THE BILL BUT YOUR TIME AND COSTS TO FILE THE PAPERWORK. If he doesn't show the judgement will be issued against him and any tax money he gets the following year will go to you first to stisfy the judgement and the court will enforce it you will not have to do any furter once the judgement is issued by the court.

It's made to look like a general or AR pump but it is not. Take it back where you bought it and if you used your credit card say you want the charge dropped and they can have the machine . If you paid out right for it it is probably your loss. You can sue them but it will cost you time and about 35 dollars in filing fees.

Funny you say that I have a 98 Sportsman and a 1983 Ural that was the mail delivery vehicle for the Lithuanaian Mail service. The chinese copy you speak of is called a Chaing Jaing, they are used alot to make BMW R-73 coppies of WW2 bikes I have a friend who has 2 of them . they are cheap but fairly well made bikes but will greande if you try and drive them at anything near a highway speed.

HAAAA My neighbor had one of those in 1986. They left it in the driveway on a summer night with the windows down. It rained that night . She came outside and the door pannels had peeled off the doors and rolled up. They were made out of cardboard. The chineese stuff might be fine but the great unkown is my comfort. I am supporting my family with this job and do not need to worry about an issue like that. Also if I need an air filter for Jang's Dong I can get it down the street for 3 bucks right away, but I would assume most parts on the Jang's dong are interchangeable withthe Honada.

What John above said. I gotta be honest. Just about every manufacturer uses totally off the shelf components. A honda 20 hp motor is a Honda 20 Hp motor on a Landa, Shark, Hotsy, or a Hydrotek. A TS2021 is the same as well. A Cat is the same as well.Schedule 80 coil is Schedule 80 coil Only real diffrence is who will screw you the least on buying the machine and who will do the best warranty and repair work. I just wish the pressure washer manufacturers would listen to certain types of cleaners and build machines that were built for not only durability but ease of maintinance in the field based on how they are used. They don't which is proof that they cookie cut the machines. I would stay with known proven components, not some chinese knock off that you have little to no long term support for.

You need to understand the hourly wage is not what is really killing the US auto worker. The healthcare packages, pension and labor fees are not listed in that hourly wage. These are all negotiated seprerately. Also the UAW has forbid automation to the extent that other car lines to artifically preserve the labor force. Areas that can be automated and done are not.

Looks like it is a bunch of people who are upset at child support payments. I would suggest a little bit more professional and organized site www.ripoffreport.com You just type in the buisness name here an it will tell you all the probs they have had . Scary how bad www.freecreditreport.com has done there. I do not know about individuals but thousands of buisnesses are listed there.

downstream injector not working
Alexy replied to FLEETWASHDUDE's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Run your set up and the first ( closest) convienent break in the line put the down streamer in and see if it works. If it works with out the gun you have a blockage or restriction somewhere beyond the down streamer. all DS should work with less than 600 PSI pressure . Think it through. if you have a reel check the jumper and clean the swivel on the reel. Check each hose and make sure the ends are not kninked. Pull the ball and spring from your trigger gun and clean them as well also. Work from one end to the next and see where you can clean the system up and go from there. -
The sonics in eastern NC are gross. The pressure washer system at the one in Moyoc NC is 3 years old and still has the plastic cover and rubber band over it next to the back door. The hoods were all I was intrested in and they were flat out trashed. I looked over they system and measured almost 3 inches on buildup on the verticle off the grill. The concrete looked like a gypsy jiffy lube had worked the lot for a few days then rolled off to another town.

Freddie Mercury was gay? My mother was crushed to learn that when it became common knowlege, she thought he was a fine singer but being gay just never crossed her mind.

Alexy replied to sealwizeofatlanta's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Sucks, Keep an eye on craigslist and ebay the police will be forwarded the pawn lists. Hopefully you get it back intact. If not hope it is insured, if it is not and was bought with a credit card you might have coverage thru it... Just check it's worth a shot. -
What is his point?

Ever gone camping? Nice being one with nature right? Back to earth one with nature... Did you light a fire? If you used 4 dry logs of hard wood that burned to embers during that fire you released more Co2 dry ash and carbon sillicates into the atmosphere than a 30,000 Kw coal fired generator is allowed to release into the atmosphere in the US in 5 hours...... SHAME ON YOU

If he hauled from that and did not man up to it the admin of this board should ban him that is criminal and should not be tolerated nor should he be rewarded with being able to post.
