I was threatened with legal action once by the post office if I "Ever did that again!" I stuffed my neighborhood mailboxes with snowplow flyers years ago. Tell us your story.

I don't think you'll be able to get six percent at a store, I believe it's much lower than that. Most people here use 12.5 or 15. Personally, I can only buy 15 percent in my area so I just cut it down a little more with water. If you are not using your fresh water too often then it might be best to tap off the customers water. I do this all the time and the customers don't really care. I use my fresh tank mostly when doing roofs to clean out the pump and hoses or when doing small detail jobs (signs, etc) where fresh water is too much trouble to hook up to.

SH is a bleach but stronger than what you can buy in the stores. I've never had a problem algae growing in my fresh water tank but if I did I would throw a little bleach in it. I bet that would solve your problem. How often is your tank used?

Watch the waste water from the sidewalks.

Crazy busy out here in Massachusetts. I forced myself to take the day off today and spend it with the family on the boat. The answering machine has 5 new messages on it that I haven't listened to yet.

Bleach is a base, not an acid.

I feel the same way. I mute it or hit the back button as fast as possible. Drives me crazy.

Carpenter bees will bore a perfect 3/8 hole in the wood and you will see bits of "sawdust" below it. Look for the sawdust on the edge of the roof and then look up. -
Didn't they do an article about him before? I thought he lost the use of his legs and was now training horses.

I heard about that earlier this summer. The news I heard was those nuts at PITA were intrested in it to turn it into an animal killing horror house. I swear I'm not making that up.

Rick2 replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I was ready but the weather wasn't. Rain all day. Actually I had two reasons to go, one of my regular customers wanted his deck done on his lake house. I was excited to use my new sprayer but it looks like it'll have to wait for later this week to take a look at his deck. He sent me a picture of it. -

I plan on getting a good one tomorrow. No powerwashing tomorrow, just floating around on the boat and showing the little one how to fish. Boat's hooked up to the truck, cooler packed, gas tanks full. I'm ready! -
That's the way it should work! Welcome to our world.

I've got labels, just never thought to put them there. Good idea.

Yup, you're gone. I saw this on Cape Cod and had to take a picture.

What powerwash tools of chemicals do we use around our house?
Rick2 posted a question in The Club House
This might be a fun thread. What do we use around our own home that might not have been the original intention of the tool or chemical? I'll start off. There is always a little F-13 left in the pump sprayer and it works great cleaning the aluminum wheels on my wife's SUV. -

I've found a weak mix of oxalic works great to clean white grout between my hallway tiles. I mix it in a little cup and put it on with a small paint brush. Gotta keep Cody the Dog away from it though. I think it would burn his feet. -
How did the work go? Was it what you expected?

Sort of. It's the part where he said "I don't have any use for it so I'll leave it by the...." Know what I mean? I know it was just a 3 dollar bucket from Home Deopt but it sounded as if he had the right to keep something that belonged to me but he didn't have any use for it.

Should We Bring Back The Wall Of Shame ??
Rick2 replied to Apple Roof Cleaning's question in The Club House
No matter what you do there will always be people that low-bid in this field and in any other field of business. They have always been here and always will be here. They show up at the start of every season and are usually gone by the the end of the year only to be replaced by another. There are also customers that will always go with the lowest bidder just to save a buck or two. What can we do? Nothing. Really, it just makes us look that much better. -
That was my problem, now I don't drink anymore. I realy do miss sitting on my deck after work having an ice cold beer but that often led to about 12 more beers. I miss it but I'd rather keep the family intact.

Do you think that would hurt PVC pipes? -
Used to have little ones all the time in Japan. I was a little unnerved when I first moved there but you get used to it after a while. First thing I learned was to never put your coffee cup to close to the edge of you desk or else you'll be cleaning up spilled coffee and a broken cup.
