I forgot it had the tow/haul switch on it, that made a huge difference today. I don't really want to see the milage but it did make a big difference. I never used it on the last truck because it never worked for the 10 years I owned it.

I ended up buying the F-250. It's a pretty nice truck with a million options I didn't think I'd want but now I'm happy it came with. It's listed as 300hp like my last truck but my last one seems to have a lot more power. I can tell when I'm towing the powerwash trailer. I haven't towed the boat yet and it's a lot heavier than the trailer.

Close, it's a 1975 Triumph. Lots of fun in the summer when I have time to use it. In fact I still haven't taken it out of storage from the winter. At least it's sitting in a nice dry area by itself. What kind of Fiat did you have? My brother Tim had an X/19. We used to say it stood for Fix It Again Timmy. The original joke was with a name of Tony for Italy.

I look forward to the slowdown mid summer. Get some time floating around in the boat.

How to spray HD80 or EFC28??
Rick2 replied to Hose Jockey's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I don't think you want to ds HD80, you'll have it going all over the place. Use a pump sprayer or a chemical pump. (And work at it with all your heart) :) -
Mine used to get stolen most of the time so I gave up using them. Anyways, I'm only there for a few hours and the truck is pretty well lettered up. It's also common for neighbors to want their house done as well once they see how nice the house next door looks. Many people don't even notice how dirty their house is until they see someone else getting theirs cleaned. I'll never figure why some people will wash their car once a week but wait years before they take care of the house.

I kinda like the bleach stains on my hats.

I remember 1) My first kiss (Jean Soule) when I was a newspaper boy. 2) The day my son was born (Patrick R. Morrow), and 3) The first time I used an X-Jet.
-
I don't have a use for them but some people do.
-
The first time I used an XJet I went home and used a hacksaw on my telescoping wand to make sure it fit in the can for next Tuesday's trash pickup. XJet would be my advice.

Stained Red Cedar Shingle House
Rick2 replied to alphaomegapw's question in Residential Pressure Washing
My own house is cedar with a red semi-transparent oil stain. Each year I restain one side. I strip it with HD 80/ Base and Acid. It comes out looking just like new wood. No joke, it looks like it was just installed. I have always used HD80 in the past for customers and always get great results. -
whats the trick to cleaning aluminum trim
Rick2 replied to c4org's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I have never had to handwash gutters using gutter grenade. Are you mixing it strong enough? I just put mine in a pump sprayer for most jobs. For the really nasty ones I brush it on. -
It's a brand new truck sitting at the dealer's lot on Cape Cod.

Do you need a big truck or do you jsut want to be the guy with the biggest toy. Maybe the F-250 is too big for my 5.5 hp Craftsman powerwasher with a 25 foot hose. I mean, come on, look where you are. Do you think most people on this site don't tow or move equiptment with their trucks? If my truck isn't hauling the powerwash trailer it's towing the boat for a weekend on the lake. If it isn't doing either of those it's plowing snow. It's even been seen towing a Bobcat once or twice. You guys want to talk about abusing a truck? Do any of those things with anything less than a 3/4 ton. That would be abusing a truck. Geeze, I don't know how I get so much flack from asking opinions about a Ford truck and listing problems I've had with mine.
-
Also, I'm pretty good with a wrench in my hand too so I can maintain / repairmy truck and other machines. Took me 5 years to restore this basket case British Spitfire but I've won first place several times at the car shows.

When I take out 27 thousand dollars from from my bank I have a tendency to take care of what I buy with it. Every service was done at each recomended mile from the owener's manual. It just got the transmission fluid changed and the oil in both axles changed at 49K miles. Never a single drop of oil in the drivway and no water in the block. Were the manifold bolts that snaped, the power steering bracket that broke, the horn that rusted and fell off, wiper transmission that failed, the radio that doesn't work, tow.haul switch that refuses to work and the transmission linkage that twice fell off the transmission from abuse too? The only abuse I've given it is not cleaning out the empty coffee cups on the floors.

My next door neighbor has a newer f-450 dump with a 6.0 turbo diesel. That has given him several problems too. Strange, his mpg fully loaded isn't that much better than my friend's 18 wheeler dumper hauling rock. I will never understand that.
-
That "outdoor bleach" is a total scam. Stay away from it.
-
I can't think of how I abused it unless you think of normal driving as abuse.
-
It's the V8 gas 5.4 Seems to have plenty of power for me, I don't need that big of a motor. The one I have now is a 6.0 and it has a lot of power too. Dealer said 7000 for a trade in with the plow. I don't know, I guess that's alright. Got to buy a new plow before winter.

What are you taking up in school?

That's what I'm driving now, a 2500 4X4 but its getting there in age (11 years old) and starting to ask for repairs now and then. A few weeks ago the starter quit right after handing a bid to wash an apartment building. Had to have it towed. Felt like an idiot. Also, brake lines broke (all 4 rusted through), transmission line broke, horn rusted off and fell in the street somewhere, exhaust manifold bolts snapped off engine block (7 bolts, no kidding) fuel pressure regulator went twice, power steering pump bracken broke, all 4 roters and 2 calipers went (at 30K miles) antifreeze keeps vanishing... have to top it off every week or so, tow/haul switch never worked, weird noise from the front axle as if the axle was engaged (I don't know what the noise is) and a unknown problem that causes the enging to really start bucking at highway speeds. It's not a fuel filter. These are the things off the top of my head. I'm sure there's much more. Did I mention the truck only has 50K miles on it? The tires are nice but that's because I had to replace them after some as#&*@e stuck a knife in them after he stole my Jetskis. Not all my memories will be good ones of this truck.

Works fine from here too.

Maybe I can get my dog Cody to go to a job site tomorrow. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1399481435143

I never thought of that, he might like gum. The dog isn't very normal, in fact he's kind of nuts. I guess most Jack Russells are.
