Turning down work out here in Massachusetts. I hate doing that but if I book too much and can't get to it all it doesn't look too good. Anybody ever notice it starts to drop way off in the middle of summer?

I used to lose my wedding ring all the time, you know, taking it off before taking off the ladders and such. The last time I found it I didn't even know I lost it. I was roto-tilling the garden and saw something gold colored in the dirt. Now I just don't wear it at alll unless we're going out for some kind of social event.

If they start asking too many questions over the phone about chemicals and ratios you know it's a homeowner ready to do the job by themself. I guess it's a matter of ethics if you want to give the corrrect information.

If they are calling you then they already know why it has to be washed. Why bother washing the floors in the house when they are just going to get dirty again?

Twenty years later after finishing college I'm going back to get my masters in Special Education. At 47 I must be the oldest in the class. I started last night and had a great time. I'm not going to give up power washing but working with the special need kids is something I have always wanted to do. 17 years as a "regular" education classroom teacher in an inner city enviroment for math and science has totally burned me out. What do you think Beth? I remember we had a conversation about this before. :)

Hi Brian I don't think anyone here is threatened by you; most of us have been in business for a long time and have a great client base. To answer any of you cleaning questions just use the "search" option and you'll get more information you could ask for. If you want to do the work part time there's a few bucks to be made in it. If you want to do it full time do your homework and you'll be able to do the job right, make a good name for yourself and make a few more dollars at it. Ewww, no way. Call me a whimp, that's okay. There are some jobs that I don't go near.

No, it's not okay. My friend owns a rather large trucking company and used to remove snow from the Ingleside Mall (a huge mall) and dump the snow into the CT. river. When the EPA said "no more" that's when he gave up the contract. I don't know what happens to the snow now.

Sounds like you're serious about your fishing. Ours is a Stingray cabin crusier, more of a family type of boat.

I "try" to take the family out each weekend for a day on the water and you're right Randy, it can be a comedy show watching some of these guys back a trailer down the ramp. It's tempting to offer to do it for them rather than waiting 30 minutes for them to put it in the water but then I start thinking about that "No good deed goes unpunished" thing. Last year my friend John was driving his 18 wheeler when traffic came to a stop. Someone didn't strap the race boat onto the trailer. John said both outdrives were about 15 feet from where the boat was laying in the street.
