  1. Another Wack Idea?

Over the weekend I finally made good on my promise to my wife to install an in-ground sprinkler system. Never let anyone tell you it's an easy job. So I was thinking... at the point where the I'll attach the sprinkler plumbing to the to the house, why not attach a downstream injector into the PVC? This way I'll be able to fertilize the lawn easliy whenever I want. What do you think?
  2. Another Wack Idea?

I don't know, maybe. I'm just saying, any type of thing to get the grass looking good.
  3. Another Wack Idea?

Yeah, something simple like that. I must have a hadful of old injectors around here, or even just installing a simple inlet in the pvc with a hose going into a 5 gallon bucket of Miracle Grow. I'll let you know how it works later today. I'm waiting for my neighbor to return from a job site later this afternoon with the Bobcat so I can level out this front yard that I've torn up with the rotor tiller and trencher. Maybe I'll have a decent yard this year.

  5. One of my machines has an EZ4040 on it. It's never given any problems and it gets worked pretty hard. General makes a decent pump. It's a good idea to have an extra in the truck just in case a problem arises in the field. They onle tkak 10 minutes to replace and the cost is rather cheap.
  6. I've got to rebuild the pump (really easy) but I noticed buying the kits are only about 10 dollars less than an entire new pump at 98 dollars. These kits are really overpriced.
  7. Those are pretty good pumps. I don't know the cost of your repairs but new pumps are cheap Pressure-Pro SLPEZ4040-300 - Slap Happy General EZ4040G Replacement Pump w/ PulsarEZ Plumbing Kit
  8. Pumptec (Deckster or Magnum 500)

You can pick up the pump, no motor, for under a hundred dollars.
  9. House and Shed Washing Advice

Opps, I didn't read it so well, I thought the whole project was vinyl. You might want to cut back on the bleach a bit when using it on the stained wood. You shouldn't let it dry on the house; work in the shade to avoid this. Let it dwell for a few minutes before the soft rinse.
  10. Hahahha There's always a good laugh in here somewhere.
  11. I had it sprayed in the bed of my new truck before I took delivery of it last year. Beautiful stuff. I don't even strap down the chemical tanks... nothing slides in the bed of that truck.
  12. How long did it take and what was the cost for the Rhino Liner sprayed on it? The reason I ask is that I have two nice metal ramps I use to run my snowblower up the pack of my truck in the winter. I little ice and snow gets things pretty slippery and I thought the Rhino Liner sprayed on these ramps might prevent me from throwing out a few disks in my spine.

  14. machine shutting down

There is a wire on the outside of the engine block that can be eaisly disconnected to bypass this sensor. I wouldn't recommend leaving it disconnected. I forgot where it is but it only takes a few seconds to find it.
  15. Is that a metal elbow fitting on the chemical tank? If it is you'll have troubles with it. SH will erode it very quickly.
  16. machine shutting down

Marco, you said you just changed the fluids, maybe you didn't put enough oil back in it. (Low oil shutdown)
  17. Wow! Looking nice.
  18. Introduction from Down Under......

We don't usually have that problem here, in fact I don't think we ever had it but we sure did on June 1st. I didn't think it would make so much news but my left side neighbor is from Ghana and his friends called to see if he was okay, the people on the right of me are from Vietnam and it made the news there, my wife is from Bulgaria and it made the news there too. Same with the people across the street, Canada and Italy. Luckly it missed us by a half mile.
  19. Introduction from Down Under......

With the exception of three tornados ripping through my city last month, things are about the same as your home.

Welcome from the USA, out here in Massachusetts (East coast). How are things in New South Wales?
  21. House and Shed Washing Advice

There are two kinds of mold that will grow on your house; the green mold found in cool damp areas and the black mold that thrives in hot dry areas. What you describe about the dirty areas around the window frames is very common but it's not dirt, it's the black mold. Window frames, exterior door frames, attic vents, vertical corner siding, etc, are all places heat escapes your home and allows the black mold to grow quickly. The good news is that it's very easy to clean. A store-bought bleach cut 50 percent or so with water will kill it quickly and you can easily wash it off the siding. Removing the stains from the gutters is a little more difficult because A) it's not always mold. B) you gutters are probably aluminium and can be cleaned best with a potassium peroxide based cleaner. Because that's not availiable to the average homeowner you might want to try a product called Spray 9 found at Home Deopt. Hope that helps a little.
  22. Most of them are sodium hypochlorite based Do you mean sodium hydroxide?
  23. Same problem up in Springfield, can't do anything. Well, I bid a concrete sign for the YWCA this morning; does that count?
  24. Removing Mortar From Glass

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. How did it become the powerwasher's job to clean concrete off windows?
