1. I sounds electrical but I don't think it's heat related. It ran for four hours without a problem then suddenly quit. If a component was failing from heat it would show up much sooner than that, probably within fifteen minutes or so.

Russ is correct, check for a spark the minute the engine dies. Keep an extra plug with you. Check the strength of the spark now while the engine is able to run and then check the spark at the time the engine fails, I'm sure it will be a weak spark. By bet is a ground fault. Something in the magneto is becoming loose and causing a ground. Start with simple things first like disconnecting the ignition switch. Hope that helps a little.

  2. I'm out here in Sofia, Bulgaria again visiting my wife's family. This is where I first met her many years ago and soon we'll have our 13th wedding anniversary. Tomorrow we drive down south to Plovdiv to see her uncle and aunt. Greece is only a few hours south so we plan on visiting friends that have a beach house there.

Polina is out right now at the government offices doing paperwork so our son will have duel citizenship. We'll see how that goes, shouldnt be any problem. I'll try to upload some pictures from this iPhone later but I don't know if that works.

  3. I got done washing these two tanks last week for Massachusetts Water. I knew I did a nice job and they would be happy with it but I wasn't expecting them to offer me the contract for the entire state of Massachusetts. Score!

  4. Thanks for your hard work of this site. If not for people TGS would not be what it is today.

On an unrelated note I was thinking about you when a friend and police officer was shot to death at the end of my street two weeks ago. He was answering a domestic call.

    Kevin Ambrose rest in peace.

John, I think you made the right decision to leave that job.

  5. we were shopping for granite last week and came across this. its 2 pieces put together but its obiously the same vane in the stone. pretty cool

I showed that picture to my wife and told her it looked like Christ. She said it looked like "some sort of scary thing."

  6. Has anyone ever done their own lettering on the truck or trailer?

I haven't had my newest truck done yet and I hate the idea of handing over 1000 dolars for it (I could get a few tanks of gas for that price). I applied the lettering on my last trailer and it came out fine.

For the last several weeks I have been doing plenty of research then finally bought my own vinyl cutter/plotter. I watched every Youtube video available about graphics and plotters. I doesn't look very difficult to create your own designs.

Well, I'll keep you updated. The machine should be here the first week of May.

  7. The pump will be the weak point if you buy from the big home stores so you'll want to buy a unit with a quality pump ie. Cat, General, etc. Be sure you take care of the pump once you buy a quality machine. Don't let the machine run for 45 seconds or so without pulling the trigger because the water heats up in the bypass very quickly, keep the oil changed with quality non-detergent oil and don't starve the pump for water. Speaking of heat... A belt driven pump will run cooler and will be subject to less viberation than a direct drive but they will cost more up front. You might be better off finding a decent used belt drive for the cost of a new direct drive. If you do a search on this site you'll find a lot more information on this topic. Happy Shopping.
