A MSDS sheet is included with our contracts for any chems/detergents that are being applied for that particular contract. -

Do we really care about the cost of gas?
newlook replied to plainpainter's question in The Club House
LOL - the pic was taken on a cruise ship out of Long Beach a few years back. Best to you on the knee replacement - ouch! Pretty much everything around here is costly...even the air. I don't trust air that I can't see though ...LOL. Let me know if you want some good Napa Red Jon. I actually took about 4-5 bottles of Charles Krug (Mondavi Family) down to the ACR RT last year in PA. Needless to say after about the 3rd bottle we had Tom V. break dancing at the hotel club. Stay in touch my friend....back to the topic....... -

Hey Jon - how in the heck are you? I wonder which state cost the most for fuel? Betcha Calif. is in the top 5 hands down. I know the Flying J you are talking about Jon....have a few in the Bay Area and all down I-5 to Barstow/Vegas. -

Dan - good points. I think people in general are aware and in tune with the gas prices. If explained to them in the proper context I would think that a potential customer would understand the "why" component on the price for a contract. -

We are seriously looking at the gas prices these days. Filled up my utility truck at Costco today at $3.799 per galloon. Took 20+ galloons. My other truck - GMC Sierra tops out at around $80.00. Diesel is hovering at around $4.61. Cost of materials across the board have gone up also.....yep I care! -
I like what Rick said..."things always seem to work out and miracles do happen" Hey Rick - hope things are well....:lgwave:

Jim - Can you post some pics?

Great thread as this is actually the type of feedback that the new organization will be looking for as it continues to establish it's direction. When I say establish it's direction - the direction meaning coming from the contractor community! Great thread!!!!!

Beth you are so correct. This has been the stumbling block in the past - listening to contractors. A mechanism will first be in place by the ***** in order to capture the path we must be one through direction and position of our contractors. Making everything public will be essential however making everything public prematurely will not be the course the ***** will take. The ***** owes the contractor and the industry a solid solid step forward to show that we are indeed very serious and motivated to make this an organization for the contractor. Once that footing is established and it will be established, then the public view component you speak of would be most appropriate. Much talent lies within the BBS Community but also much talent lies beyond it as well.

Simple question ~ Can a bullentin board like TGS or the many others out there work towards positioning and equipping themselves to actually become an industry leader ~ meaning industry direction/policy being derived through a particular BBS or a combination of several BBS's? If so, how and if not, why? Think out of the box on this one folks.

"The job of the teacher is not to know everything, but to know where to find everything." - Barry M I am quoting you here Barry inpart as this is exactly the premise of how the new organization is establishing it's infrastructure as we speak. The revamping of the ***** has and will continue to take both traditional and non-traditional steps in it's efforts to form an organization for the contractor. Very few people in the industry today are in the "loop" of the model we are using to accomplish this. As time goes by the model or map will purposely roll out to different segments of the industry for further tuning. What is this model or map? It is the business plan for the *****. Is there one today? Yes - it is being circulated to consultants and business minded people outside the industry walls. Stay tuned!
